Thank you to the linemen across the state for working tirelessly to restore power to the citizens of Mississippi!Shout-out to
@MarshallRamsey
for this awesome illustration!
Thanks to Will Hall, new head football coach at Southern Miss; Brian Morrison, Assistant Director of Athletics; and Sergeant Jay Bass for stopping by the Mississippi Department of Public Safety. SMTTT!
Hi Brandon, it’s painfully obvious that you know nothing about the office you seek, so let me educate you a bit on DPS - one of the agencies you’ll never oversee because you’ll never be elected.
🧵
It’s not rocket science to want someone who has worn a badge to run the state’s largest law enforcement agency or someone who has run a hospital or been a doctor to run the state’s Division of Medicaid. Unlike Tate Reeves, I’ll have professionals running agencies, not cronies.
My heart is heavy with the loss of a dear friend and true public servant. Mike Griffin served our country as a Marine and our state as a MHP State Trooper and a MBI agent before he retired in 2021. After his retirement from MHP, he returned to work as an officer for DPS. RIP
Make no mistake, Brandon Presley isn’t just attacking me, he’s attacking the historic accomplishment and the selfless employees of DPS. He’s attacking law & order, just like his liberal pals like Stacey Abrams and Gavin Newsome want. He is unfit to be our Governor.
End/🧵
If you like the improvements made at the MS Dep. of Public Safety, then voting for
@tatereeves
on Tuesday is the clear choice. The other candidate has made it clear that he will send things back in the other direction and has stated that I am not qualified to lead the agency.
Since 2020, our office has
✅ Dramatically reduced wait times at driver services
✅Completed decade-old autopsy backlog in record time
✅Secured largest pay raise ever for our troopers
✅Significantly increased transparency
✅Bolstered Capitol Police to make Jackson safer
🧵
DPS has 11 different divisions. Only 5 of those are law enforcement divisions, all of which are run by LE officials. The rest are civilian offices led by civilian public servants. I’m extremely proud of ALL DPS employees who work around the clock to make Mississippi safer.
🧵
It is a special honor to be selected as one of the MS Top 50 most influential leaders in our great State. Without a great team at the MS Dep of Public Safety and my loving wife, Claire Tindell, at home, such an honor would not have presented itself.
Join us in congratulating
@MissDPS
Commissioner
@TindellSean
on being named to the 5th Class of the
@MSTop50
.
#msleg
MS Top 50 is the annual list of Mississippians who are judged to be among the most influential leaders in the state. Their contributions make Mississippi better.

Thanks to

from

@MissDPS
to highlight my first 120 days in office as Commissioner of the MS Department of Public Safety.
Very moving candlelight vigil this evening in remembrance of all of the law enforcement officers who paid the ultimate price to protect their fellow Mississippians and make our communities safer.
The real story that you won’t report is Dr. Stacy Turner, Dir. Kristy Simmons, and the whole team at the Medical Examiner’s Office working tirelessly to nearly eliminate a decade of autopsy report backlogs.
Homicide autopsy reports in Mississippi continue to lag behind national standards as crime has remained a flashpoint in the state legislature and campaign trail.
@AP
@Report4America
This week is National Police Week, a time to honor officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice for the safety and protection of others. National Police Week allows law enforcement, survivors, and citizens to pay tribute to those who gave their lives in the line of duty.

If there is a problem, I acknowledge it and start looking for solutions. And there are still plenty of problems we are working to fix. However, I’m proud of our team at the ME’s office and the progress they have made…but hey don’t just take my word on it.
This is the problem when the AP runs a fake news story. It misleads the public and local outlets into following a false narrative. Of course we know why it was done….all part of the liberal machine’s effort to help their friend.
It is an honor to appoint Colonel Steven Maxwell as the next Director of the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics. Colonel Maxwell’s leadership and experience will serve Mississippi well as we work tirelessly to make our communities safer.
