Trooper John Harris died on May 28, 2021, while conducting a traffic stop on Highway 16. Trooper Harris’ son Coop honored his father's memory on the last day of school by wearing a Highway Patrol uniform. Continue to lift this family in prayer as we enter National Police Week.
Fortunately for everyone involved the DeLorean wasn’t attempting to reach the 88 mph necessary to travel back in time however this K Troop Trooper did take the opportunity to check out a real neat car. You just never know what you will get to see working with MHP!

On February 1st, Troopers on I-22 in Itawamba County encountered a speeding vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. This stop resulted in the seizure of 120 pounds of marijuana from the vehicle.

This week, on I-22, a Mississippi State Trooper made a traffic stop on a Dodge Journey. During the traffic stop, the Trooper found 40 pounds of illegal narcotics.

A MS Trooper recently stopped a 2022 Toyota 4Runner on I-22 in Union County. During the traffic stop, 57 lbs of Methamphetamine was found in the vehicle.
