This lady, at the age of 15, saved a dog who was being hit by its owner and got it re-homed. She taught her daughters to be good people. She was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour aged 32. She died aged 33. Sheโ€™d be 79 now. Her name was Marion. She was my mum. #MarionRocks โค๏ธ

A thread..Many years ago I was a detention officer working in the police cells. One night a man was brought in for beating a dog. I hid the dog in a police cell, gave her a blanket, food and held her. She went to a kennel where I visited her every day.

When my mum passed away in 1979, we couldnโ€™t afford a headstone. I was 12 at the time and made a pact with myself that one day I would make a cross for her. When I was in my 20โ€™s, I made that cross. Iโ€™m 57 now. It may be weathered. But itโ€™s still there. #ACrossForMarion ๐Ÿ˜Šโค๏ธ
