Fun fact about this scene: Mavis was the most reliable runner, so in scenes where they needed a runaway train, they would use her (or her chassis, as in Busy Going Backwards) to help in scenes like this. Even the stars of the show help out on shoots! Really useful engines!

All manufacturers who acquired the Thomas license were supplied reference material. Interestingly, the toy company MERIT was supplied with very early TV series materials to work with- which we know as, the pilot. The merchandise released resembles such- analyze my findings. (2/7)

The "Pull Toy", from 1983 has a picture of the Pilot Thomas' prop face on one side of the box, albeit cookie cut on the toy. The Pacman eyes are obviously edited to resemble that of the toy, but they are absolutely overlaid on a prop face- the shading is dead on. (6/7)

Here's a rare one- the Plarail Donald & Douglas Snowplow Set from 1999! This is the only way you can get Douglas in Japan. Mine is missing the snow platform on Ffarquhar, but I'm not bothered given the condition of everything else. The plows attach by a snap-in-place fixture.
