@davidgmandel WHO was the Social Worker!? Whoever that Social Worker is, they need to be fired. It's not up to the SW to gaslight the victim, when the victim has been through so much, already. I'd be more scared of the SW who'd ever forced me to say anything that I wasn't feeling.

@Gaslight_Effect It's not that narcissistic abuse has been normalized, it's that more people are speaking up about it, they're talking about it, they know they deserve better than what has been given to them, they know they don't want anymore heartache. Domestic violence thrives in silence.

@nate_postlethwt And it's ok to not always be strong. We have to normalize that it's ok to have an occasional emotional breakdown and to also normalize asking for help when we need it. There is some strength left in someone who knows they need help, they've not given up.

@nate_postlethwt Trauma bonds are going to happen. They'll be people that you don't really want to let go of, that you deeply care about, that you'll cherish for the rest of your life. The amazing thing is, you don't have to let go of those people. It's ok to love from a distance.

@thisusertwtss How can you tell if somebody misses you, if you don't give them the opportunity to miss you? Absence makes the heart grow fonder, but too much absence can lead to loneliness. Set boundaries and break limiting barriers. Stay positive-thinking, as it often leads to good action.

@MatthewCoast He knows he's condescending you. In fact, he just hopes you don't react negatively to it so you don't get into an argument. But yes- he knows he's condescending you, he knows he's abusive. How much you're willing to tolerate, before you let go, is the ultimate question.

People mistake my kindness for weakness. Indeed, I am kind, but I am not weak. I have lived through 5 DV Relationships, 3 of which had nearly taken my life. Everyone's first DV Relationship was with that of their parents, continuing the Gen. Trauma & Abuse.

@selfcarecanvas Do nothing. Let them wallow and think it over. Walk away. But when walking away, show them the growth that you have done in their absence. And then finally, forgive them. It may hurt for a while, but it is necessary to keep on going.

@PattyMurray What's more alarming, is that USDOD so often doesn't have the Federal Funding they need to be combating problematic SA. I currently know people who say the VA is severely underfunded, often lacking in supplies needed and that our Vets would do better finding a regular hospital.

@RohitSah786 There exists 3,868 Domestic Violence Shelters. NOT a single ONE of them is a male domestic violence shelter, which SHOULD REQUIRE MEN to get the counseling he needs as a Second Exit Plan before he leaves the DV Shelter. WOMEN have had this privilege for almost 40 yrs.

Most don't think about having a back up plan. Most don't save for family emergencies. Most don't think their parents would ever die. You need to have a savings plan that works for you. Be prepared in family emergencies. You never know when they will come.

@elonmuskPOTUX Check out The Cameron Islands of Malaysia. They have a similar program like our BIA, so the land is Govt funded; but the citizens get to keep the crops they make, and they're forced to make & keep the crops or they lose their land property. So gen after gen. has to keep it up.

@adndotcom Alaska is hellbent on oil as the only source of income for Alaska Natives, this isn't working, for the past 40 years. We have 229 Alaska Native Villages that seriously need to be built, because they don't meet basic human needs. We are vulnerable as #MMIP

@Iam_StephenMusk Even a Therapist needs another Therapist, Psychologist or Counselor. Therapy, Psychology and Counseling are the top 3 jobs slated for severe depression, anxiety and throughts of suicide. The 4th is Police Officers and the 5th are Security jobs.

So, TODAY we cannot have men be ignored in domestic violence. They are equally in need of domestic violence awareness counseling and DV shelters. When we heal the men from domestic violence, we have now healed the ENTIRE household. THAT'S POWERFUL!

#whyIdidntreport Because at 12 years old, I got the blame from my father who didn't support me. I was blamed for being too beautiful. I didn't know what sexual assault was, having been stalked by 12 other High School guys on the way home. I had no way out. No community support.
