I drew this comic after I watched a video from Animal Australia about Prawn Eyestalk Ablation. The poor prawn’s eyeball was taken off like she is not a living being, her eyeball floating in the water in front of her💔
The researchers also conducted a photograph mark-test, in which six out of eight fish, when they saw their own picture with a phony parasite, started rubbing their throats like they were trying to clean it off.
Broiler chickens are selectively bred to grow too big, too fast. Their legs fail to support their overgrown body and are often unable to stand.

Crabs feel pain and remember it 🦀 🗯
Their suffering is not just a reflexive response, they remember and adjust their behavior to avoid pain.

I live in Hong Kong. It’s hard to believe that shark fin still on most restaurant menus. More than a third of HK shark fin products are from threatened species. Half of the shark fins traded globally come through HK. It’s time to ban the shark fin trade.

Shrimp farming tends to occupy coastal land that used to be covered in mangroves.

Every year around 6 billion male chicks are killed on their first day of life because they are considered "worthless" to the industry since they cannot lay eggs😞
They are also willing to suffer a more intense shock if they love the shell. Crabs in better shells took bigger shocks before they were willing to give them up🥲
For hermit crabs, their shell is as important as life. Research has shown that when hermit crabs receive electric shocks, they trade-off their need for a quality shell.

Around 4-6 billion male chicks are killed every year, often by being ground up alive in giant macerating machines or gassed to death. Some are even buried alive.
