Today (6 June) marks 80 years since D-Day, the largest amphibious landing ever assembled, when 156,000 Allied troops landed by sea and air in Normandy, France. We thank all those that took part, and remember those who never came home. We will remember them. #DDay #DDay80

Today we remember John Jenkins on what would have been his 102nd birthday. John landed in Normandy shortly after D-Day. After this, there was no stopping him. Carrying the Olympic torch, receiving an MBE, museum volunteer are some of the many things he will be remembered for.
