Today we say goodbye to our beloved janitor Belinda. Belinda was a huge part of the Taylor family for 20 years & we will miss her so much. We pray for her eternal rest & for her family at this time. Rest in Peace Belinda.
Today we said goodbye to a number of staff, most noticeably Mrs Bergen, Mr Dorris, Mr Rooney & Mr Harty who are retiring from our Maths Department. We wish them a long & happy retirement and thank them for many years of service to Taylor High School.
1/3 As a community we are saddened to hear of the death of former pupil Samantha O’Reilly. Samantha has a unique place in the school's history as part of the very special group of pupils who composed, recorded and performed the Hymn 'Faith'.
Today we said goodbye to the legend that is Miss Rooney. After 29 years Miss Rooney is leaving the PE corridor one last time. On behalf of the Taylor community we say thank you & wish her well in her many travels knowing she carries a big part of the school wherever she goes.
We were saddened to hear of the passing of our first Head Teacher & Taylor legend, Mr Lynas. Mr Lynas served the school from its opening in 1982 until he retired from teaching in 1997. We keep his family in our prayers at this time. Requiescat in Pace.
Sad day today when Miss Cannon & Elvis finally left the building ! The staff choir will have a Blue a Christmas without their musical director !

Tonight we gathered at St. Francis Xavier, Carfin to give thanks for the long & dedicated service of our former H.T. Mr. McCormick. We thank Bishop Toal for leading us in this Mass. Although we couldn’t celebrate as a school community we were delighted to join together in prayer.
Our new S1 have been amazing the last two day. As well as being beautifully presented in their new uniforms their behaviour & work ethic has been a sight to behold. Thank you to our associated primaries for passing on such amazing young people.

Delighted that our school today played such a major role in the procession of the relics with Mr Geddes leading the NL Schools' Pipe Band as pipe major, the flag bearers, S6 who carried the relics, Staff & pupils processing and those who lined the streets. How Blessed we are.
Today Miss Kane & Miss McHugh delivered £750 worth of food vouchers to two amazing foodbanks: BASICS foodbank and The Wee Mobile Foodbank. Thank you to everyone who contributed to the Raffle and supported the Foodbanks.
