Tomorrow 100 years ago Fr Taylor as he was then opened the Carfin Grotto. We celebrate this formally with the Papal Nuncio on October 21st. This past week has been so fitting, a festival of faith. We are sure he is beaming with pride and joy at his little Grotto so alive.

We join in prayer for the health of Her Majesty the Queen. Although Her Majesty never visited our Grotto, she did pass by in the early 1950s and Canon Taylor arranged for the children to hold a sign up for her which she spotted and the car slowed down as it passed the Grotto gate

Fr Grant is delighted to receive the Carfin Grotto patron cake by Queen Cakes by Alison Brownlie. Alison had received favours from both St Therese and St Bernadette's visit to the Grotto and wanted to use her talents to pay tribut Her idea was to make the cake look like a candle.
