@AnarthBhai Namdev says both 56 and 96, same like kabir says ਛਪਨ also.. both these sayings have origins of guru ji in dakhn desh where marhatas have 96kuli system. So it was likely something to parallel cultural tradition of Nanded area that was reinterpreted in Sikh way. Itsnot like literal

@SKhalsa69661 The word ਮਾਦਿਕ elsewhere in Gurpratap is used as placeholder for intoxicant, specifically degh n ਛੱਤ੍ਰਧਾਰਾ/feem. And you mean ਮਦਰਾ, sggs calls it ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਕੀ ਪੀਣਯੋਗ ਵਸਤੂ (ਸੁਰਾ).. haha but seriously it is something soorme drink. Due to nature of ppl to abuse, should not be done*
