@Otto_English I don't usually say things like this but at her age I worked full time, had a young child and was caring for a dying husband and a poorly mother. I was lucky if I could get to a hairdresser occasionally.

It was in the 1980s that she discovered her mother was alive. She was not able to return before her mother died.
