The biggest lie in Dragon Age is pretending having a staff wouldn’t be a huge advantage in melee combat that would level warriors and rogues alike. HEMA schools don’t even spar with staffs because they’ll fucking cave in armor/helms/protective gear and break your bones.

Dragon Age armor is like butter in cutscenes anyway it’s just funny to know that truthfully the sparklebois with no armor would be the ones levelling heavy warriors by striking their armor with so much force their ribcage would just cease even if the armor didn’t dent.
