The pressing traps are the same as RVN had at PSV. A backwards pass as you can see in the clip, this occurred and the United players engaged, pressing aggressively forcing a long ball which helped regain possession.

Mount was vital, he didn't have a good game on the ball but made some very good recoveries and always tracked back. It allowed United's press & structure to be effective because Fulham couldn't outnumber them once they went forward in transition.

Sancho and Casemiro gotta step up Two players that still could end up leaving by the end of the summer, two players who desperately need to get better. Sancho got on the ball a lot but didn’t do much with it, when you compare it to Amad’s impact, it’s genuinely night and day.

Martinez LB doesn't work, he's much better building play when central. When Licha moved to CB – the ball speed increased, but United still struggled & were outnumbered on a few occasions, with a few player's being uncomfortable with the rotational build-up. Onana therefore

Marcus Rashford has the ability to play disguised passes like this, & did so a lot in his time under Ole. These passes into a channel run by Højlund for him to take 1v1 with the GK or cut-back for a 3rd man run will be so effective.

Our fullbacks out of possession are a BIG problem, it’s not the personnel, it’s the instruction. We do not push them onto the oppositions fullbacks when pressing meaning they’re the ever-present out-ball against us. It’s pretty clear that Erik ten Hag doesn’t trust these group
