An enemy that was previously semi-implemented is now fully implemented: The Starfall Soldier enemy is one of a few enemies being finished for the next update!
the attack they have hits far, but if you're close enough they can miss you! This gives you an opportunity to strike!
There may be more infrequent updates from members being busy with real life matters, but here's a video to tide you over: new changes to the jumping weight and physics!
Costume of the day: Amy (Paladin)
Nothing more appropriate for this hammer-wielding force of nature to wear! Best paired with the Busted Amy extra for a true Amy Rose experience.
Alongside material edits, Sonic World DX 2.0 will also improve particles of various player attacks and robots.

Costume of the Day: Sonic (Tunic)
First donned in the Wii U Exclusive Zelda DLC in Sonic Lost World, this outfit returns in DX.
An added detail is the tunic changing color akin to the Goron tunic or Red Ring in some Zelda titles.
What incarnation would he be? The Hero of Sound?
As June approaches, with Shadow's 23rd anniversary, more updates will be dedicated to him.
For this first update, the dark-run
Chao, resembling Shadow. This means you can now have Shadow with a Shadow Chao companion. This one's in a new color! Can you guess what color it is?
Next update will also add the recently canon Super Amy!
Like most Supers in the game, the moveset is unchanged, but with all her attacks one-shotting enemies and her horizontal speed uncapped.
Costume of the Day: Jet (Summer)
Based on 2013 Sonic Channel art for Jet, this stylish fit swaps his goggles for some more seasonal shades, a red hawaiian shirt, and a surfboard that behaves like an Extreme Gear? Wave outdid herself on that design!*

We'll be working towards adding compatibility for Legacy character mods and the animation system. this makes them way easier to port, only requiring minor text editing knowledge.

Costume of the day: Omega (Care Unit)
Another archie one! While technically not the same character as Omega, this machine is built by Eggman's Anti-Mobius counterpart to house Buns Rabbot. Minor model tweaks are present to make it better match said appearance.

Sonic World DX 2.0 will make island NPCs more interactable, akin to the Commander in 1.2!
They will also be available to read into on the characters screen of the collections menu, giving hints on where to find them and if they have something for a character to do.

3. press f1, the screen should tint black
4. type "i cant unlock anything legit" and press enter

Second monstrous month of Shadow post!
Shadow has a faster but more reckless airdash than Sonic, he also has a faster homing attack.
In the next version, the attack will have cosmetic flair to make it look like he is teleporting. So cool!
Super Forms are planned for Version 1 for any characters that can achieve them in a game. Here's a preview of one of these characters.

An upcoming costume for Shadow, Disco Shadow, will appear in the next version. Heavily based on the Sonic Rivals 2 80's alt, style the ultimate life-form!

Mostly a direct rip from Sonic Forces Speed Battle, with a few texture adjustments to make it closer match promotional art for the outfit. Unfortunately Cheese doesn't know how to match, but he's happy to accompany Cream as is

Espio seems to bring his A-game to cosplay, with his gloves and shoes referencing his original design in Knuckles' Chaotix.
Using source code from WizG's BlitzSonic Online, an early beta for an Online version of Sonic World Release 9 is available to try.

Based on the metallic multiplayer alts from their game of origin. The other colors will also make it in.
A chunk of people were disappointed we chose the non-metal ones so this will make up for it.
1.1 will add more options to the Marathon mode: fixing a major completion bug, allowing multiple save slots, and deciding what acts to play!

It has came to our attention that many players are getting virus readings from Version 1. While they are false positives, we are working on fixing the culprit in a patch. The culprit is our implementation of Discord rich presence into the game.

Just clarifying we will NOT be in SAGE this year. This is because of the 2.0 revamp. We want to take time to make the game accessible and playable to more users, especially ones we neglected before.

Cream and Cheese! Can't have one without the other. All of Cream's attacks are by her Chao protector, targeting any enemy under her command. She is a child very capable of defending herself.

It's really a shame that we could not get the animations imported correctly here! The conversion from Maya to Blitz3D was rough, with facial animations and effects being ruined. For those curious on the errors in-game, they looked like this:

A few months ago I was brought onto

to animate Bean the Dynamite. We couldn't get the animations to work in game properly, but I've put them in this reel so I can show you guys what I made.

Sonic! The most average of the group, but his speed is unrivalled.
He may struggle with combat but if you stash up gauge energy, you can wipe hoardes away with his Light Speed Attack.
You can also jump out of his Boom Kick for extra verticality.

In the upcoming 1.1 version, we will be adding more options for those who want to mod the game, by making theme modding easier, and also allowing anybody to edit physics values in any text editor!

We're altering Metal Harbor in both visuals and layout in order for it to better suit DX's standards and have a more dreamy feel. Have a peek!

Outfit of the Day: Gamma (E-103)
Based on the 2nd revision after Gamma, with the same blasters as E-101. This gives fresh life to the robot freed by Gamma in Adventure 1. Beta also is an alt and both use the old animations from back when Beta was in DX in 2019.
Since Emerald Coast's object placement was mostly unchanged, we have decided to revamp the whole stage.
There are much more colorful chairs, parasols and a more involved bridge section!
The original layout will remain as an alternate mission, with a few bugfixes!
We aren't only working on only new stages, but revamping old stages! Here's some comparisons of Love Garden and Misty Gorge with the first image being DX and the second being the previous release.
Since it seems Sonic and Tails are trending. Have a Tails picture (Sonic is "on holidays" and cannot be disturbed). This pose is taken from his drift animation.
Since the old options menu was rather cluttered, we have decided to combine the togglable options into Video and Gameplay categories, making the options a lot easier to browse!
Fourth monstrous month of Shadow post will focus on mods that feature a form of Shadow. All mods listed work in the latest version of DX! Also some Maria mods.
