Things were bad then, but they are much worse now.
Disgraceful behaviour.
This nurse on

was clear that the NHS was much more short-staffed back in 2008, at the tail-end of a Labour government, than it is today 👇

Couldn’t recognise any parents. Son said he can’t see any friend.

We, the parents at my kids school are currently in the process of trying to raise 9 grand as they need new KS1 books and have no funds to buy them.

In stark contrast, every time Labour have had power, education standards have plummeted.

Shout out to all the NHS Staff (like my Husband) who are on 12 hour shifts today.
No extra bank holiday for these workers who are still waiting for their pay award which was due on 1st April. I wonder how much further this Government can grind morale down?
What are we going to do at the General Election?
I want this barbaric, deceitful and incompetent Gov out as much as the next person, but there is no way I can vote for Starmers Labour.
My children’s school has remained open during strike days. The Headteacher has just emailed ALL parents naming the two teachers who took strike action.
Surely this isn’t allowed!?
On the train into London. Wearing my mask, and I’ll continue wearing it next week to protect myself, my family and others.
Unlike this Government, I don’t base my public health decisions on what I think is needed to save Boris Johnson’s neck.

The

strikes aren’t just about pay, they are about the future of our Health Service. They are about patients being put at risk daily due to chronic understaffing. They are about kicking the profiteers out. They are about ALL OF US which is why everyone must get behind it.
SO tired of NHS Staff being accused of putting people at risk by even considering strike action!
We’re not the ones putting people at risk, it’s the Tories! That’s why every corner of the health service is being balloted & we’re taking our fight to this excuse of a Government 👊
I’ve asked you to remove this misleading and edited clip once already.
Tories have no shame. And clearly no arguments, as you have to lie and deceive. Tragic.

I will openly say that if Barclay visits my workplace, I’ll be turning my back to him. I cannot understand why anyone working in the NHS wouldn’t offer the same response.
500 AVOIDABLE DEATHS A WEEK
Hi new followers 👋
I’m a frontline Nurse and wish I didn't have to strike, or campaign for the NHS.
Like all health workers, I just want to be able to do my job and look after my patients.
However, 13 years of Tory cuts have left us with no choice.
Should be enough to bring this Gov down. But it won’t be.
Thinking of my husband and I, stripping at the back door after work, not letting the children near us till we’d showered.
This man in a position of power, in public office continues to harass me and twist my personal story to fit his narrative.
I am a working class woman and I’ll always speak up for myself, my colleagues and my patients.
I’d say ‘do better’, but think he’s lost a cause.

We booked a family room. When we arrived they said they’d overbooked so we were put in a double room with my husband & I having to sleep on the floor.
They’re refusing any form of refund, which I’m finding unreasonable 🤔

As an NHS Nurse I’m telling you, all the years of stripping services to the absolute bone are about to be laid bare. Services are running on a shoestring and they can chuck all the money they want at it, but it won’t work
Just learnt that the national flower of Palestine is the Poppy.
Feels a bit sick doesn’t it, that our ‘leaders’ are wearing a poppy, grim faced saying ‘never forget’, whilst literally perpetuating a genocide in front of our eyes.
What a fucking world.
YES 👊 🔥
Share this everywhere. This Gov are LIARS and are not seeking a resolution to the crisis in the NHS.
We have to come together and reject their divisive tactics because when we do, we hold the power.
The Daily Fail are bullies.
They sent me the DM below just hours before they released an awful article about me, using my images without permission.
This isn’t the first time they’ve acted in this way towards me.
They’ve now paid me for their error.
This sort of set up in Trafalgar doesn’t just ‘happen’. This would have had to be approved by authorities, and police. I know because our NHS campaign has tried to book these areas before and it’s HARD. We need assurances these events will not be permitted again!

There have been incidents where paramedics have finished their shift leaving their patient in the back of an ambulance, returned the next day to find the same patient still waiting.
THIS is why they are striking, this can’t go on. Shame on you

I cannot believe how close Streeting was to losing his seat!!
Well done
@LeanneMohamad
what an incredible campaign, please please keep building.
Wes - people are onto you.
NHS workers were due our pay award in April, NOTHING.
We were told it had been delayed and we would know by mid-late June but STILL NOTHING.
WHY? As we continue to give our all, and continue to plug the gap caused by 100,000 vacancies we are repeatedly ignored!

Coronation bill set to top 250 million!
Meanwhile, 43,000 people died last year before an ambulance reached them and we are called greedy for fighting back against this.
Make it make sense.
Health Secretary Steve Barclay has said the Royal College of Nursing should have waited before staging a 28-hour walkout, which is due to start at 8pm on Sunday evening.

Another Tory MP misleading the public….they really do their reputation no favours do they.

Back to the pickets next week 💪
Have to say, I’m grateful it won’t be -5 this time!
Please support Nursing Staff & join your local picket if you can.
We must send a clear message to this Gov that we oppose their bullying of NHS Staff and dismantling of our health service!
Oh yeah, no one I’ve ever worked with has a ‘can do’ attitude.
How dare you
@Keir_Starmer
If you worked with the resources we do, and the staffing levels we do, it’s the only attitude you can have. I did a 27 hour shift once as there was NO ONE to take over from me.
So when we should have been preparing for this pandemic. Johnson was on a country break and documents were stripped back otherwise he wouldn’t read them. I work in the NHS. We had zero prep, zero training, zero conversations around the risk

There isn’t spare capacity.
There isn’t a spare pool of qualified staff.
Increase demand on the private sector, they will offer healthy salaries for people to leave the NHS and drive our service even further into the ground.
This is privatisation folks, and Wes knows it.
The Conservatives have created a two-tier healthcare system.
I’m not prepared to see working class patients priced out and left out.
Labour will use spare capacity in the private sector to get patients treated sooner, while we build the capacity the NHS needs.
NHS Staff, if Sunak and co visit your ward or dept, please consider turning your back or refusing the smiling meet and greet. They are selling us, our patients and the NHS down the river, don’t be used as a photo op.
This is a tough watch already.
I remember my husband (Mental Health Nurse in A&E) being refused an FFP3.
His team brought their own off Amazon but were told they couldn’t use them as they weren’t ‘approved’. He caught Covid and was off work for over 3 months.

This is simply untrue and defamatory.

NHS Staff - we need further strike action. They’re laughing at us!!!!
I was on BBC Politics London this morning talking about the possibility of NHS ambulance strikes. No one wants to strike but if this is what we have to do to protect our patients and ourselves, then so be it.

How dare he accuse staff of ‘diverting resources from patients’ by asking for their pay to be restored after YEARS of cuts.
This is why we must demand that any pay awards are fully funded by the Gov and NOT taken from existing budgets.
Just texted my husband suggesting we sell the house, buy a camper van, take the kids out of school and just f**k off.

The press have attempted a smear campaign on me, calling me a hard-left eco-mob firebrand militant and more.
I’m actually just a Nurse who is sick of watching patients suffer and feel it’s my duty to speak up, that is good practice.
These Health Secretaries really do seem to go out of the way to piss off the people they’re supposed to be working with don’t they?
Disgustingly rude and disrespectful.

about the 72 hour junior doctors strike in England
Today is the biggest strike in the history of the NHS. It’s sad that it’s come to this, but unsurprising when you have a cruel & corrupt Gov who are intent on selling off our services
Services are understaffed & they are desperately unsafe. Get behind us, our fight is your fight
You dropped

You also scrapped the shadow minister for mental health role.
Please don’t pretend you care about this crisis.

It will be the mission of my Labour government to make sure fewer lives are lost to suicide.

This is why we vote to strike. We cannot continue on this trajectory, the NHS is collapsing.
We need investment & know the money is there. We’ll fight on for as long as we have to, staff and patients deserve better.
