The Unknown (2024)
When a crowd of fans attend a Willy Wonka Experience, they unknowingly unleash a mirror-dwelling demonic force with the power to slash into their darkest nightmares, turning fantasy into a terrifying reality.
This is NOT pure imagination.

Scream Part VI: Ghostface Takes Manhattan
After hearing that Scream 6 is due to be set in New York City, Arturo Navvaro has created this brilliant tribute to Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan. ❤️
Rest In Peace, John Saxon.
What a brilliant and varied career.
You were an instantly recognisable face for me growing up, starring in 2 of the greatest horror films ever made, Black Christmas and A Nightmare on Elm Street.
It's been an absolute pleasure.
Take a bow, Sir.
I'm closing down Slasher Trash because enjoying Texas Chainsaw Massacre means I don't know anything about real horror.
My Dirty Dancing page shall be up in due course.
To the people out there who are seriously claiming Halloween Kills as the WORST slasher you've ever seen;
I'm gonna go ahead and assume you've only seen one other slasher film in your lives - the original Halloween.
Your edginess cuts us all. Deeply.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2022)
Thank you, low expectations! I'd been told to expect bargain basement crap but this is anything but.
Fast-paced, brutal & nihilistic with that trademark series touch of OTT twisted black humour. Leatherface is simply superb and so is his chainsaw.
Celebrating 40 years of Friday the 13th Part 3: 3D!
Here's an original theater lobby standee, complete with dripping blood mechanism. It's owned by superfan Gregg Parish (who played the soundtrack in the background for effect).
Still the coolest memorabilia I've ever seen.
Halloween II (1981)
On this day 40 years ago, the sequel to John Carpenter's immortal classic was released into US theaters.
Quite possibly the greatest slasher film of the 80s, I love Halloween II more than words could do it justice.
Happy 40th, you beautiful badass! 🎃🔪

3. My Bloody Valentine (1981)
2. Hell Night (1981)
1. The Burning (1981)
I'm not that fussed about seeing another version of The Thing.
I'd much rather see time and money go into releasing the 2011 prequel with the original practical FX reinstated.
Y'know, 'cos that's what the fans have been asking for.
I think this is possibly the GREATEST piece of Friday the 13th merchandise I have EVER seen!
An original Friday the 13th Part 3: 3D theatre lobby standee from 1982! 🔥
The light still works and that blood still flows, baby!

"The humour in Halloween Kills is tonally jarring and doesn't fit the serious nature of the franchise!"
40 years ago in Halloween II:
"Amazing Grace, come sit on my face..."
Scream (1996)
On this day 25 years ago, Wes Craven's meta masterpiece held its premiere in Los Angeles.
Written by Kevin Williamson, Scream's clever self-referential slasher reinvented the sub-genre and revitalised horror as a whole.
This film means everything to me.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2022)
Today marks the 2 year anniversary of Netflix's Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
There certainly was a massacre...in the reviews (although I personally enjoyed it)!
How are you feeling about it now?

Dead Silence (2007)
On this day 15 years ago, James Wan & Leigh Whannell followed up their smash hit Saw with a supernatural spookfest.
Dead Silence is one of my favourite modern horror films. It's scary, stylish and features 2 fiendishly terrifying villains: Mary Shaw & Billy.
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 (1986)
On this day 35 years ago, Tobe Hooper's sequel to his original masterpiece was released.
It took me years to realise that this poster was a fun riff on The Breakfast Club. 🤣
@_AsiwajuLerry
Lol.
Since his debut 12 months ago, Fernandes has scored 33 times in all competitions, with only four players within the top five European leagues scoring more.
Lewandowski (53), Ronaldo (40), Lukaku (38) and Haaland (36).
Bruno is a MIDFIELDER.
He's hyped CORRECTLY.
Friday the 13th Part 2 (1981)
On this day 40 years ago, the first sequel in the Friday the 13th franchise was released into US theaters.
Part 2 features Jason Voorhees in his debut as the iconic Camp Crystal Lake killer.
Happy 40th to one of the greatest slashers ever made! ❤️
@Jayy7i
Lame tweet.
You should actually respect the fans who turned on him MORE because it means they're not plastic fans; they're loyal, passionate fans who care about Manchester United and put the club first, AHEAD of Ronaldo FC.
The fuss fans made brought Utd to their senses.
Happy 75th birthday to SFX legend, Tom Savini.
The Godfather of Gore, The Sultan of Splatter, The Master of the Macabre and The Wizard of the Weird & Wonderful.
Tom is responsible for my favourite moments in my favourite films. He's a bloody hero! Enjoy your day
@THETomSavini
What's your favourite kill in the Friday the 13th franchise?
Mine is Axel from The Final Chapter.
P.S. Jason wants you to watch Haunt today. He also wants you to retweet. Do it or die.

can't we just lock Sean Cunningham and Victor Miller in a room and force them into agreement for A NEW FCUKING FRIDAY THE 13TH FILM?!!!
It's December 1st, slasher fans! 🎅🔪
We've entered the month in which you're legally obliged to watch Black Christmas at least once.
If you don't, you'll be getting a call from Billy...

Sad news to share today as Erich Anderson has passed away.
Erich is best known among horror fans for playing Rob Dier in Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter.
Erich's wife shared the news on IG. He had endured "a brutal struggle with cancer."
Rest In Peace, Erich (1957 - 2024)
Sad news to share today as Paul Kelman has passed away.
Paul is well known to all slasher fans for playing TJ in the 1981 classic, My Bloody Valentine. It's one of my all-time favourites.
Rest In Peace, Paul. Thank you for the memories. ❤️⛏️
@markgoldbridge
And this is exactly the problem with United fans.
You can't objectively analyse Rashford without them coming for you.
Last season he was so bad, he'd look out of place in the championship. These are facts but they won't have it.
Thanksgiving has made $10.2 million in its opening weekend, adding another $2.4 million from international markets.
A $13 million box office total on a $15 million budget is considered a great start and the 82% rating on Rotten Tomatoes is a career best for Eli Roth.
Check out this absolutely stunning mint condition UK VHS poster for 1980's Friday the 13th.
Wayne Savage of Savaged By Design makes replica prints and a whole cabin full of amazing Friday the 13th (and other classic horror) goodies!
Candyman (2020)
Unless you've been living in 1981, you'll know that Candyman has been given a "spiritual sequel".
Jordan Peele (Get Out, Us) co-wrote and produced the follow up to Bernard Rose's 1992 classic.
Do you even want this?
What are your thoughts on the original?
A Nightmare on Elm Street 3:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!
Today is my 38th Birthday.
Yes, it's the yearly reminder that I was born in 1981; the golden age pinnacle for slasher cinema.
We're going out for a meal tonight to celebrate.
Let's hope I don't get shish kebab'd!

Zombie (1979)
Happy 40th Birthday to Lucio Fulci's notorious 'video nasty' classic.
I'll never forget the first time I saw that 'eye splinter' scene.
Where does Zombie rank for you among 'The Greatest Zombie Movies of All Time'?

Happy 35th anniversary, A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master!
Freddy Krueger completes his journey from dark slasher villain into wise-cracking anti-hero for the MTV generation!
New concept poster for IN A VIOLENT NATURE
We got THE BURNING ripping right through this one and I love it! Cropsy would be so proud.
This is my most anticipated slasher of the year.
IN A VIOLENT NATURE opens May 31

Top 10 non-franchise 80s slashers
It's been 3 years since my first list. I welcome a brand new entry and one classic moves up into the Top 5. Sadly, I had to bid farewell to a real diamond.
Limiting myself to 10 is HARD!
When Halloween III came out in 1982, Michael Myers fans lost their shit over his unexpected absence.
40 years later, they've lost their shit again over his smaller role in Halloween Ends.
Toxicity aside, it further cements the unwaivering loyalty fans have for The Shape. 🎃🔪
Thanksgiving (2023)
The official poster for Eli Roth's long-awaited seasonal slasher has arrived!
The trailer is coming tomorrow.
In theaters November 17th
Happy 75th Birthday to horror icon and legend, Robert Englund.
Robert was the first horror star whose real name my family knew. We loved Freddy Krueger and had a blast with the Nightmare on Elm Street films.
Thank you, Robert, for playing the leading role in our nightmares. ❤️
@CraigCharles23
"Still forcing an agenda"
Yeah, Mark wants United to act like a football club and challenge for big titles rather than run like a bank and settle for Top 4.
What a terrible agenda. 🤡
On this day 42 years ago, Friday the 13th Part 2 was released into US theaters.
The film marked a monumental milestone in slasher cinema, officially introducing us to one of horror's most infamous villains, Jason Voorhees.
Steve Miner's sequel is a masterpiece of the sub-genre.
Halloween: The Evil Unmasked Cut
Combines Rob Zombie's Halloween and Halloween II into one complete film, removing the entire 'white horse' storyline but incorporating deleted scenes to provide the most seamless, satisfying fan experience. 🎃🔪
A heartfelt thank you to everybody who wished me well for today's operation! ❤️
I can confirm that I didn't die so I'll be sticking around to annoy you some more with my constant slasher talk! 🙈
Hugs, kisses and stabby stabbings! 🎃🔪💀

The Fog (1980)
This weekend marks the 40th anniversary of John Carpenter's supernatural classic.
I love The Fog so deeply, I run out of superlatives to describe this masterpiece.
It's one of my all time favourite films across all genres.
Where does it sit with you?
