It's the end of an era. Free to play card games aren't viable. TESL, Gwent, and now LoR all suffered the same fate. It wasn't an advertising issue but a monetization one. Being generous to your players doesn't make money. The code wasn't cracked to make things worth buying

Thinking about how much I loved the Rising Tides expansion. Bilgewater is such a great region thematically and mechanically. It brought so much to experiment and brew with. Easily the best expansion in LoR's history. Hope we get more like it

LoR continuously heading in a faster direction which makes it harder for me to play the decks I enjoy. Same win conditions every game that are hard to interact with. Just execute a linear plan. Combo or be combo'd So many champs and archetypes left in the dust.

TFT might have suffered a similar fate if they didn't have the introduction of Chibis and their gacha system to acquire the prestigious ones. Plenty of people get upset about that system, but the reality is - it was necessary to make it profitable. LoR never found its Chibis
