I’m singling this one out because I need to have a mini rant. Ok look obvs this is close to my heart because I write mostly short fics but I truly believe that writing really good short stories is just as much of an art as writing long ones. In some ways it’s more challenging

Think about it - if just said "yeah I like it" - MASSIVE meltdown, Larry is real etc. If he said, "not sure about it to be honest," - MASSIVE meltdown, management made him say it etc. I'm not sure what he could say that wouldn't cause a meltdown? Not surprised he panics.

@asterysms As a writer, I'd be MUCH less inclined to put my stories out there if this happened. What would be the point? I write for fun, not to be dragged by people who didn't like it. Its fine to dislike, close the tab, move on. You'll get less content & authors - is that what you want?
