My favorite musical protest act is Jimi Hendrix’s Star Spangled Banner performance at Woodstock. The military veteran chose to reclaim the song as the people’s anthem adding sounds of explosions & gun fire to express his displeasure of America’s involvement in the Vietnam war ☮️

I 1st met Henry at Woodstock & ended up with his original photograph of Hendrix performing at the 1969 festival. Our 2nd meet up was a barefoot, candle lighting backyard party & so I was given an original of his iconic Mama Cass backyard party. The backstories are incredible 🍃
