O.Y.O (On your own) follows the lives of young boys growing up in the streets of Benin to adulthood. They live and sleep on the streets of Benin and have formed a brotherhood. These type of boys have come to be known as “Elema boys” in Benin city, Nigeria. Here is the trailer.

Shortly after, I fell in love with medicine and documentary filmmaking and was admitted to study medicine and surgery at the university of Benin in 2018. Medicine and documentary filmmaking felt poles apart and impossible but I felt determined to make it work.
