The General Assembly will meet in 30minutes to consider a landmark resolution that would require the Assembly to meet whenever a veto is cast at the Security Council. Why is this important? Accountability. The conversation wouldn't just end after the veto is (ab)used.

Some important context: when #Israel gives evacuation notices for civilians to leave homes in #Gaza they usually tell one person on street & he’s meant to inform the entire block. So by the time they realize what’s happening they don’t have the time to even wear shoes
