1/2 The UN General Assembly should suspend Israel like they suspended Apartheid South Africa in 1974. At the time the US unsuccessfully challenged the ruling, which was also opposed by Britain. There is a precedent. It can and should be done.

6 yrs ago today, Israeli navy murdered 4 Palestinian boys (aged 9-11) playing happily on a beach in Gaza. 4 boys who had their whole lives ahead of them, 4 boys murdered because of who they are. No justice has been achieved since, with Palestinians killed everyday with impunity.

Remembering Ghassan Kanafani today, 48 years after his assasination. Kanafani was a beautiful writer, journalist, and member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine. He was assassinated in a car bombing in Beirut, alongside his 17-year old niece, by the Mossad.

Gaza already suffers a shortage of resources due to the Israeli land, air, and sea blockade since 2007. But with only 4 hrs/day of electricity, food insecurity is even higher as food that can’t be kept cool in refrigerators & freezers at homes, supermarkets & in storage, rots.

Let’s look at hospitals dealing with latest power cut in Gaza. The lives of over 120 babies in incubators are at risk. Emergency patients can’t be treated right away or any patients in darkness at night. Imagine electricity cutting mid-way through the surgery of a loved one?

At the end of the video when asked where he was shot, the reply came “In his head”. I recently casually visited the village of Beita in occupied Palestine and as you can see, even on arrival they were defending the mountain from the illegal Israeli occupation forces & settlers.

Designating human rights organizations like @Addameer , @DCIPalestine and the Union of Palestinian Women Committees as “terrorist organizations” is just ridiculous. Nonviolent resistance and documenting Israel’s human rights violations is so obviously the “threat” here!

44 years ago, 6 Palestinian citizens of Israel were shot dead as they were protesting the Israeli government’s extension of land expropriation. The protests were against Israel’s policy to “judaize” acres of area, at the expense of Indigenous Palestinian land. #PalestineLandDay

Israel has approved 3,000 new (illegal under international law) Jewish-only settlement housing units in the West Bank of Palestine, allowing further ethnic cleansing of Palestinians from their homes & lands. Annexation never stopped. Not for a moment.

6 years since Black Friday, today marks anniversary of the Rafah massacre during Israel’s summer offensive on Gaza. Over 150 Palestinians were killed that day by Israeli firepower, hundreds injured & homes damaged & destroyed. Today, the remnant violations can still be seen.
