Today I attended a book launch for a book called ‘Dying with Dignity’ which I had the pleasure of co-authoring. Why does this book matter to me as a historian? Because for decades my community was forced to hide their cremations in forests in BC.

@michaelgeller @CBCStephenQuinn My son (13yr old) goes to a school with a 90% South Asian population. He's remarked how intimidating police are in his school, including wearing full riot gear to a cops for cancer event (?), and how violent they have acted towards boys in particular. I believe him.
