. @JSCollinsAP : The 7-year fight to pass a medical marijuana bill in South Carolina ended for 2022 when the SC House voted, 59 to 55, to rule the bill procedurally out of order; the bill had passed the Senate on a 28 to 16 vote. I will try again next year!

Arrived at the #IowaCaucus site I’m attending as a @NikkiHaley caucus captain, a “mega site” hosting 13 precincts. The Marion County party official assigned to this site says over 2,000 Iowans caucused here in 2016 but he expects the sub-zero weather to cut that number in half.

My precinct’s poll workers this morning were cordial and competent, but clearly walking on eggshells, afraid of doing something that might subject them to chastisement. I doubt my precinct is unique in this regard, and I regret the pall of fear that permeates our polling places.
