Taxpayers shouldn’t have to pay for parallel education systems. Parents already have school choice, and funding private schools with public money will cut funding for public schools. More than 92% of all Iowa K-12 students attend public schools. #iagov

Here's a recent vote in Congress that would have provided more funding for school-based mental health supports. The Iowa delegation voted no. Yet do-nothing Zach Nunn had no qualms about appearing at the Perry News conference this week after an 11-year-old was killed.

The lawsuit was filed in a federal court in Missouri last month by state attorneys general from Missouri, Arkansas, Kansas, Nebraska and South Carolina, as well as legal representatives from Iowa.

I received thousands of email messages from Iowans urging legislators to reject vouchers. I counted the emails “for” and “against” vouchers from Iowans. The tally was 92% against vouchers and 8% for vouchers just before the Republicans voted to approve vouchers.
