From the endless trips to the 315, over 100 games covered this season, it’s been a grind.

The Chittenango guard will compete in one of the toughest conferences in D3 while staying close to home. He’ll finish out his high school career with his brother and the denfending champion Bears.
Been fortunate to cover some PA basketball this week including a game in Sayre tomorrow. The protocols have been impressive with everyone on the court wearing a mask.

Zech had a true Warrior spirit and was a freshman starter when the Warriors last won states.

Congrats on your commitment to Radford!
Congratulations to Will Trela and Zach Philipkoski on being named to the Class A NYSPHSAA All-Tournament team.
These two and the Spartans as a whole had a season to remember full of miraculous finishes to get to this point. You made Section 3 very proud!

Boys Final: Christian Brother Academy 56, Jamesville-DeWitt
Last year these two met in the Class A Sectional title and was the Large school's game of the year, wouldn't expect anything less from these great rivals. CBA hangs on at the for a second straight time.
After losing a heartbreaker in last year’s state championship game to Glen Falls, the Red Raiders stormed back to win another Sectional title. They will go down as one of the most dominant teams in Section history. Despite the loss of seniors, they still will return 3 starters.
New York is the only state in America that is undecided. 47 other states have decided to go ahead and play basketball this winter. The clock is ticking
@NYGovCuomo

You’re in a 3 on 3 Tournament Gus Macker style for the Championship. You’re birthday is the duo you have on the last possession, are you coming out on top?
Tonight is the game of they year in the North Country and quite possibly for Section 3 as a whole. Very excited to watch Lowville vs. Harrisville on the boys side. The Class B runner-up in 2019 and last years No. 1 ranked team vs. the defending State champion in D. Can’t wait!
The Bishop Ludden Gaelic Knights win the Class A Sectional title with ease.
If they shoot the way they did today they’ll have a good chance to make it all the way. The first step in states will come next Saturday at CNS. They’ll take on perennial powerhouse Averill Park (II).
To echo some thoughts on today, that was that some of the best high school basketball I’ve ever seen.
All of the boys games were decided in the final minute, while the girls had games go down to the wire as well. I loved the big school crowd seeing that the D Schools can play!
Solvay basketball star Elijah Wright has officially committed to Syracuse University to play Football at the highest collegiate level. He’ll live out his lifelong dream and suit up for the Orange this fall. Congratulations! We’ll be rooting for you!🍊🏈
Aiden MaCaulay had a big night for the Red Raiders as he scored his 1,000th point and punched a ticket to a second straight sectional championship game.

New Hartford is heading to the NYSPHSAA Class A State Championship game!
It seems like the Spartans are the team of destiny, they’ve been the underdog in states, but have always found a way! They should be very proud!
They will play Manhasset from Long Island tomorrow at 1 p.m.
Congratulations to Junior Alex Moesch for becoming the 5th Chittenango Bear in school history to join the 1,000-point club.

Congratulations to all teams that made it this far to states as well as Boys + girls small schools finishing with 5 teams in the top 3. Lowville, DeRuyter boys and South Jefferson girls finished No. 1, you’ll always be state champs in our books in a year that won’t be forgotten!
The Lowville Red Raiders repeat as Sectional Champions. Aiden MaCaulay was named MVP with 24 points. They will advance to the regional finals in Binghamton next Sunday against the winner of Section IV.
Waterville gets back to Section 3 glory with a Class C Championship!
They will now take their top notch defense to the state tournament and will have a date with the top team in the state in Class C on Saturday.
They will take on Newark Valley from Section IV at CNS.
Congratulations to the Westhill Warriors on winning the Class B State championship!!
It may have been the 6th state championship, but it’s arguably the most impressive for Kevin King.
After double-digit losses to Marcellus and Chittenango twice they didn’t give up. They fought.
Ahh yes, we've made it to the Quarterfinal round, perhaps the most underrated round. The sad reality we face today is that there are many good teams and players that will say goodbye to the sport they love. Some teams that will lose tonight perhaps could've won it all, Good luck!
@blackwell_phil
@Bville_Boys_Lax
Not sure people understand just how impressive this is. Beating Northport and Farmingdale in consecutive state championship games.
Not just state but national powerhouses in the sport. Baldwinsville is now too a lacrosse national powerhouse. Hats off to the Bees.

Saw a great film on the Moravia boys hoops program last night. Many Section 3 cameos such as regional wins against Tully and Beaver River, a 16 pt. Loss at Chitt. that fueled a NYS championship in ‘17, and 2 regional classics against Cooperstown, including Bertram’s 55 pt. game.
And just like that, the New York State High School Basketball season is over.
This season is one that will always hold a special place in my heart for many reasons.
Thank you to the coaches and players for making this year extra special. The kids deserved this season!!
A surprise to none that the Cooperstown native Tyler Bertram is making an impact at the D1 level. Looks like Tyler has found a good home in the southern tier.

defeats Central Square on Friday night, 61-50.
@CNYCentral
I’m not sure who needs to see this, but I think I speak for many when I say that CBA vs. West Genny boys is an end of season matchup everyone wants to see. No playoffs, just one Onondaga county game. Same can be said for CNS and Ludden girls. Is there a way that it could work?
The 57th ranked sophomore in America JJ Starling has decided he will leave CNY to attend La Lumiere prep school in Indiana(The same place Isiah Stewart attended). Starling currently holds D1 offers in the double digits.
The '21 state Basketball Championships aren't canceled yet. I have a proposal...A Bubble. A 1 week window with regional games in the beginning of the week, somewhere in Section 7 or 10 perhaps. Remote School wouldn't be an issue and NFHS viewership rates would be through the roof
Final: Liverpool 49, Fayetteville-Manlius 44
The Warriors pull out the win after being down with a just a minute to go. Wingate led Liverpool to victory late with big plays underneath.
Final: Central Valley 69, Oneida 62, the Thunder cap off a double digit deficit in the fourth with an overtime victory. Freshman Jaylon O’Neal added 23 in the win including the shot to send it to overtime.
