Went for a run tonight using the guidance of my physical therapist. 1 min run and 3 min walk. I felt like I had to push myself so was going a little overboard with the running part. Fastest speed was 10.2 mph. Please clap.

@NYSOASAS What are you babbling about. I have given many patients way more than "a speck" of fentanyl through IVs and they didn't die. The dose was 25mcg/0.4mL which is around 8 drops. No way does 8 drops fit on the head of a pin.

Welp I am getting admitted to the ICU. My heart is deciding to be dramatic and have afib again. Maybe it is my fault I decided to jump rope to see if I could still do it. If nothing else I will at least get to see the rooms at the VA Hospital.

Some drive w/o issues, some have tires slowly flatten, others have blowouts that cause damage to others and possible deaths. Would you say go out and drive or would you say drive as little as necessary til roads are cleared?

@AT90555225 We used to make up songs with my daughters stuffed animals for bedtime. I also make up stupid ones the spot ones about the pups. Along with stories. This is Abuela and Bandito, Abuela gains your trust while Bandito robs you. Both are boy dogs so it is funnier.

Nearly stepped on this little one last night. They hide on stucco walls really well when little. Everytime I try to get a picture of one "hiding" to send to @Afro_Herper it is gone by the time I come back with a camera. It is a Mediterranean House Gecko.

@JessLynnMoreno 100% agree. BMI sucks. The first time I was listed as overweight I was in the Army with a 6 pack, I could run 2 miles in 10.5 minutes, ran 4+ days a wk, and had a resting HR in the 50s. I am obese now and can still fit into pants I wore in the Army 22 yrs ago.

@JennyErikson Have you ever lost a child? My parents have lost 2 it is the most devastating thing. Neither were really preventatable. Imagine if you lost a child bc someone sent their kid to school sick with covid bc they have to work. Covid can be prevented.

@UnaDispatch Nurse here making over 5 times minimum wage in a 2 income house and I still look at the price of fruit before buying it. Honeycrisp apples 2.50/lb next to Pink Ladies at 0.99/lb. We got a bunch of pink ladies.

@beeguard27 @kmgee9 I can't count the times I had orders changed because medications weren't okay to give with other medications. 1st semester clinicals we had to know what each med did and say it before administration. Knowing what meds do and answering questions from pts js patient care.

It has been 26 years since my first sibling died, Sean. Grief fucking sucks. I slept til around 1pm. I lost my temper with Gemma after school, then went outside to mow the lawn then laid down and wept. I have been in the backyard avoiding any responsibility for a few hours.

@JusttheZooofUs @ReadMoreScience Does non professional study with my kids count? We check out our critters from the backyard. Like this Mediterranean House Gecko on my daughter's finger and this Rollie-pollie with babies. We had no idea they carry their young. We have given homes to caterpillars as well.

@rkh_md I believe there is a shortage of hospitals that pay their regular nurses a fair wage. They would prefer to pay travelers more sporadically than take care of their employees all the time. Also the bad nurse to pt ratios.

Covid booster and Flu vaccines yesterday are kicking my butt today. Elevated temp (not quite a fever), chills, achy, and exhausted. Trying to get the family to cuddle on the couch and watch the Grinch.

@codebluememes I have met plenty of Nurses in my 12 years as one. The Nurses who don't have a stethoscope are the ones that say "that's not my job" for any task that has overlap with another job or lie about assessments. Figs are hit and miss on if they are a good Nurse or not.

@Potato_Chip Christ! As a nurse I have been called many things, told I was incompetent, along with many curse words, and even flipped off by a sweet old Lady. Never have I made it so a patient could communicate. That is horrible and I am sorry that happened. Pts are allowed to be pissed.

@pedsmd2b I used to tick off a surgeon when he would say VIP. "So Doc you want me to treat them better than the other patients that are here?" Just loud enough that I might be heard by other patients. Even the VIP would wait to hear the answer. He stopped saying it to me at least.
