Rip Taylor played Buddy Coles uncle in a long sketch we did called Chalet 2000. He spent a week in Toronto hanging out with my friends and we had such a blast. He was hilarious, gracious, tireless and brave. Thanks for the laughs Uncle Rip. It was an honour to have known you.

Rip Torn was not only a brilliant actor with a huge personality but he was also hot.I once told him that I had a nude pic of him from an early film he'd done called Coming Apart.He was pleased that the pic had helped me thru my adolescence and from that point on I could no wrong.

My mother Barbara was born minutes before her identical twin Frances so she had to be the serious one and Fran could be fun. They died yr 2 of the pandemic, mum hanging on until her little sister had been seen out. I miss my mother every day. I miss my Auntie Fran every other.

My engineer dad and I discovered a backed up sump pump in the basement of his care home. He wasn’t fazed one bit. He jiggled a valve then rammed his wheelchair into a big pipe and everything started moving again. As you can see he was thrilled. I however still have nightmares.

My dad and I were reminiscing about how in the old days if you fell off the swings it was onto concrete not cedar chips. He laughed as he reminded me that I broke my wrist 3 times. I said at his age if he fell onto a giant marshmallow he’d break a hip so we gave it a shot.

When my dad was young he did amateur theatre. For Christmas I put together a collage of one of the productions. It’s called ‘Send Her Victorious’, a one act farce about a woman who thinks she’s the reincarnation of Queen Elizabeth the 1st as he dramatically points out.
