You can sing the presidental talking points to the tune of Frere Jacques. Try it. It’s fun.

Final word.
Unbelievably San Diego’s Joe Musgrove throws the first no-hitter in
@Padres
history. Since 1969. He was electric. In related news, I have identified the lucky tequila.
Her: I see all the congressmen looking at their phones. We can cross the street now.
Me: Oh. Thanks.
Her: Where do you represent?
Me: San Diego
Her: Oh my God - I’m from Coronado!
Me: I’m your congressman.
Her: Is that possible?
Nice to meet Susan Huling today.

Saw woman taking a pic of another with my office plaque. “Want me to take one with both of you?”
They: “Oh thank you!! [Hand me camera, pose by the plaque. I snap the pic]
Me: Visiting Scott Peters?
They: yes!
Me: Want me to get you a pic with him?
They: Could you do that?
Stop and frisk was awful policy, and I'm glad he's renounced and apologized for it. But it's not his whole record. I've watched a lot of tweeting and have let it go but I thought I'd take a minute to share some of what I've learned from the campaign. BC no info is bad info. 1/
Interesting he thinks he fixed it. How do you “fix” demonstrating to a generation of black men in NYC that their government sees them as inherently criminal? Does he even understand how that formative experience might affect someone long after the policy ends?
Woman holding campaign sign in

Me: That’s a sharp looking lawn sign.
Her: Oh, my husband is running for judge.
Me: How does he like that?
Her: Its so stressful.
Me: Yes, I know.
Her: Oh, have you ever run for office?
Me: 😐

Sudden voter contact at Vons, through masks.
Woman, excited: “I already voted!”
Me: “Good for you!” [-pause-] “Wait - is that good for me?”
Her: “It’s good for you!”
Ok. 👍🇺🇸
Congratulations to our next Mayor and my friend
@ToddGloria
. I look forward to working together on issues large and small to help the city we both love.
First, the city employee who leaked a confidential document committed a terrible wrong and must be held accountable. The attorney-client privilege exists to protect taxpayers - that’s why a breach is a crime.
Congratulations to our new SD Mayor
@ToddGloria
and City Council on your inauguration today. I’m excited to work together with you for prosperity and quality of life in our region.
#DemConvention
was masterful. Gave the rationale, stories and witnesses to prove that
#BidenHarris
is the right choice and how vital it is for US and the world to win this election. So impressed. It’s like they hit a grand slam four nights in a row, which has never happened. 🇺🇸
Third, the Barbara Bry campaign put a lot of money behind an attack ad knowing it was based on false information and continued running the ad long after it was clear the report was false. That’s a breach of ethics that we should not want in an executive.
Unless there are portions of the tape that somehow negate criminal intent, "I just want to find 11,780 votes" and his threats against Raffensperger and his counsel violate 52 U.S. Code § 20511. His best defense would be insanity.
Tonight cancer claimed my cousin Jeanne at 58. PQ resident, wife of Dave, mom of 3. She had the gift of time to make peace & say goodbye. Never voted for me because I’m pro choice, but never voted for the other SOB either. I loved her & will miss her.
Trump told us he would appoint Justices that would overturn Roe, gun safety laws and environmental protections. He did. Now the fight has to move to the ballot box. Don’t agonize - organize! And vote!!
Well this would be awesome. Toni Atkins is a San Diegan, a proven leader and the single person best prepared to do the job of governor. I will take that!
A new beginning and a new number for the 116th Congress, from 412 to 348 to 297 and now to 227. Thanks to all who’ve supported me in getting here and who help me do this important job. Special love to the 2018 campaigners and our terrific

Season ticket holder since 1992. I’ve seen some good Padres teams, more bad teams and mostly boring teams. This. This is going to be so much fun, San Diego.
Daughter: Are you wearing makeup?
Me: Well, um, I had to record some videos.
She: It looks pretty good.
Me: But you could tell, right?
She: Well you got it in your hair so maybe you can work on that.
Biden ran an amazingly well conceived, disciplined campaign.
#BuildBackBetter
was the perfect message - get back to where we were but do more than that. Unify the country. And now he ignores the Trump tantrums and stays above it. Love it all. (And hired

Join me in wishing

a Happy Birthday! She’s whip smart on politics, a keen judge of people, the fire to my ice, a warrior against wrongs and she never stops pushing the team and me to be better. So take the day off, MAP. Please.
Guy on street peering intently at me while I’m waiting for my car.
Finally: “Are you part of the blue wave?”
Me: “Probably. If I’m not, there’s no wave.”
Guy nods, gives me the thumbs up and walks away.

When I was a freshman, I got kicked off the House floor for not wearing a tie. Wish I’d been shrewd enough to get booted for toting San Diego beer. And we will put up ours against yours btw
@JoeCunninghamSC

The Lowcountry has the best craft breweries in the country (don’t @ me Asheville). They’re run by entrepreneurs who create thousands of good local jobs and produce the finest beer around. I’ll never apologize for promoting them.
(The beer was from
@WestbrookBeer
&
@COASTbrewing
)
As I finish four terms in Congress, in our nation’s capital out East, it still amazes me how many people want to get to know me just because I’m friends with
@toniatkins
Second, someone doctored an official city document with the intent of hurting Todd Gloria and his campaign for Mayor. That someone needs to be exposed held accountable as well.
Highly recommend the Real Dictators podcast, where I learned that Stalin began his rise to power as a scheduler. Arranged it so Trotsky missed Lenin’s funeral (oops 🤷♂️), then scheduled himself as the eulogist. All confirming my theories and suspicion about scheduling.
Finally, while I’m glad
@nbcsandiego
has now retracted the story, and the reporter has apologized, it should have happened sooner. Now, it is incumbent upon them to make this right and tell the public who did this.
It’s true they were duped, but they are guilty of shoddy journalism. Now they should expose the people who used their news organization to spread false information in an attempt to influence a municipal campaign.
