I’m 8 years old; only girl on my hockey team. I see Wickenheiser in the Olympics, and realize that women can play hockey as adults. Young girls are going to see Wick standing with the rest of Leafs management, or on the draft floor, etc. Do not underestimate what this means.

This team was not good enough. That is very true. But this team has also been under supported and publicly disrespected by their own federation for years! Their success was always in spite of Canada Soccer. Never stop holding the federation accountable for results like this!

It’s so hard to watch this game as just another game… it’s not. These players are physically, mentally and emotionally exhausted. They are not playing well, but they were also put in a position to fail by their own federation. #CANWNT / #CANXNT

There are much (MUCH) bigger and more serious things going on right now... I know that. But in the next five weeks I had planned to: - Go to a Raptors game. - Travel to the UK for our honeymoon. It's been a disappointing, frustrating, and exhausting week. I just needed to vent.
