We just lost Gruff...he was fine (he had cancer) until late morning. He had a fit, then later two more. After the last one he took three breaths and was gone. Sprocket is now our only corgi. 😭

At age 20 I suffered with an incomplete miscarriage. The "retained products" caused an infection. I needed a D&C and IV antibiotics. Had I been in the US with current rules I would not be here now....and neither would my kids. Abortion is not a simple issue... many reasons!

@BenOxlade1 I went through all these emotional ups and downs with my eldest. Infections, breathing issues and digestive issues. He was in and out of hospital for such a long time and I was like a zombie through it all. He's now 34...don't lose faith. He's a strong little chap 💜

The "debt ceiling" is a misnomer - the debt has already been incurred. It appears the GOP wishes to default on payments. Only a good move if the aim is to trash the US credit rating cause the stock market (where all pension investments are) to tank and destroy the economy!

Sprocket hurt his front left paw. There's a small slice on the top & it's a little swollen where he keeps worrying it so I've given him some benadryl to make him sleepy and a baby aspirin for pain. He's feeling sorry for himself and put himself to bed.

We spent Christmas Eve with our lovely neighbour and her family. She called today to tell us she has covid. I hope she recovers quickly (she's not young) and that Bill and I don't get it. My test today was negative, but I'll test a few times over the next several days.
