It is with great sadness, that we mourn today the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. On behalf of our community at Sandringham School, we would like to express our sincerest condolences to the Royal Family.
It has been a busy day at the Peaks. Arrived safe and sound, had a great time at Carsington Water and then a lovely walk around Ilam Hall. After dinner we heard some great poems before off to bed. Up early in the morning for the big walk.

YEAR 7 - BUSHCRAFT
Our lovely Year 7 Students on the Bushcraft Trip arrived safely at camp yesterday. After an uneventful first night in camp they are up, breakfasted and are now enjoying their Day 2 activities.
Today we said a fond farewell to our wonderful Yr13. What an amazing bunch, coping through lockdowns and many challenges. We will miss them and wish each and every one the very best for the future! Go fly!

It's day 2 of the

trip for "A Half". Students are currently taking part in a 12km hike in their tutors groups. Later today students will climb Thorpe Cloud before finishing off the afternoon with a well earned ice cream!
Almost 1500 students have now had their 1st lateral flow (COVID) tests over the last few days & finally, we will welcome our amazing Year 7's back tomorrow. A huge THANK YOU to Mr Nicholls & our incredible team who have worked so hard to make this a smooth & efficient process.

Sandringham will be closed tomorrow. As well as concerns for safety of staff and students travelling, we have had a boiler failure that won’t be repaired until tomorrow afternoon. Students should check online systems (email, Google Classroom, Show My Homework) for assignments.

Verulam ARC. Students built a radio receiver, miniature beam antennas and transmitted across the World using our school callsign, M0SCY. A really interesting day of STEM communications.
