@JordanPlatten
I used to work at Vayner, Gary is a G. His concept of patience and life is long is more about playing the Wong game with the things that you do less about trying to achieve random wins. Guy was one of the most genuine owners I’ve ever worked with.
From June 1 to June 30 we are going to run one of the biggest cost cap versus highest volume experiments in Facebook ads ever. The results of this test will likely inform the strategy that we use for the remainder of 2024 for meta ads.

My grandmother passed at 92, grandfather is 94 and still in good health. They frequently ate whatever they wanted, fast food, pasta, etc. the key? They had connections and responsibilities for their entire lives.
@ashvinmelwani
You pay 100% no question. The recruiter has vetted and pre determined that this person is ready and capable for you. That’s their entire job. They only blur info so everyone doesn’t cheat the system and do this.
@nkecom
Could not physically agree more with this. We transferred every single account that we operate to cost Caps and a few to bid Caps within the last year. Not only did our results get better across-the-board but our hands-on management took significantly less time. This is the way
At the beginning of the year we started to shift our Facebook ad strategy across our clients from highest volume to cost caps.
I was nervous at first but I truly can’t imagine running an account without college controls at this point.
When and why did all the ai platforms start struggling with semi complex math?
This morning I tried to create a media plan with a few percentage changes based on the day of the week and both Gemini and ChatGPT completely different results that were both substantially off from

I’m all about it and want this to be the case for nearly everyone but in the accounts that we have let this rip we have generally seen worse performance than a few basic breakdowns. I’m not saying we need hundreds of interest anymore but a few breakdowns, and keeping everything
@zachmstuck
It is quite concerning how many brands come to us wanting to expand into more channels when they are only spending $30,000 a month in Facebook and Google
@JaiDolwani
Had to switch our “audits” to red flag reports. They are no longer mega deep dives and more high level fundamental shifts to highlight how we work instead of every detail
This morning me and my team audited a small brand spending around $30,000 per month across Meta and Google…
Here are the 5 BIG red flags that we found.
🚩 using a mix of cost cap and lowest cost in meta
🚩 Over segmentation , 22 unique ad sets, nearly all in learning

@TheAdBrownie
@Chubbies
I always felt like if chubby were to just 100% lean into brand and not try to innovate on product they would be a forever brand
@NudeCurtis
@JordanPlatten
I think its also important to mention that Garys advice is actually very helpful even tho it is generic. Patience and playing the long game is such incredible advice when you get to the next stage in business. It is not tactical for sure.
@blvckledge
Most true thing in my feed today. It’s incredible how lower pricing leads to worse clients and higher churn. We revisited all of our pricing at the beginning of this year. now everyone on the team is not staffed on as many accounts but making better margins
@IstvanicMarin
As an agency owner myself, I have no idea how anyone gets away with rolling out Junior media buyers to brands.
I was absolutely lost in Facebook ads when I was 19 years old 😂
@Peter_Quadrel
We use it across many accounts and it helps save time. If you are managing just one account and time is not the constraint then it’s truly not necessary
Business idea: we made too much food SMS list. Example – bakery closes at 5 PM, 30 minutes before close and SMS goes out with a list of the items that they made too much of. There’s a sale with delivery options sent to a text list. Call it leftovers.

@NavalismHQ
Would highly recommend to read their books instead of just the pods. Most of these people have incredible compacted knowledge in a few hundred pages
shower thought
why is no one doing outbound for pizza
"Hey this Gigi from Gigis Pizzas calling. You ordered last week. We have a Pepperoni Pizza ready and could deliver it in 10 minutes. You hungry?"
@joelecom
this wasn’t meant to come off harsh, I’m actually asking if there’s any supporting data to prove this? Seems like more theory then anything with supportive facts
@CTtheDisrupter
@nkecom
@EcomMame
And now I’m back to disagreeing. Not sure what budgets you’re dealing with but I’ve run cost caps “sustainably” at 50-80k DAILY
@jordantwestecom
@AlexHormozi
Dude I cannot believe you said this. I have made this exact same mistake in the past when hiring. this correction alone has allowed us to secure very talented people on our team with substantially less fail
@Zayn_blu
Plan and practice. Not a single one of your favorite Youtubers does anything live. They make it look effortless with immense amounts of preparation
@binghott
We created a standard workflow for this sadly. Whenever a rep calls we ask what account they’re asking about and immediately explain that we are an agency with a variety of clients. We ask that they email us with all suggestions.

@JordanPlatten
There is no doubt one piece of advice that has helped me more than anything. Keep doing the same boring things that you know you have to do every single day and you will grow beyond all of your expectations
@jeremympryor
@LegacyBuilder__
I Don’t have kids. My mom was brilliant at explaining that the things that felt risky were in fact not risky at all she also led by example by operating her own business (a hair salon)
@LeilaHormozi
This is super true but I always think about if I am sacrificing the right things. It seems like you have a real clear approach to this. It would be interesting to know how you would treat this if your family wasn’t also in your business.
@joshykobyashi
Fact. The constant evolution of your duties as ceo keeps it both fresh but insanely challenging and makes it super hard to find balance and flow.
