The problem is not that classical ballet is erotic by design, it is that other art/dance forms* get labelled “erotic and inaappropriate” for younger age groups/public display. *Eg. A lot of hip hop or Black pop music comes to mind

@lingerie_addict This summer I was travelling in Kerala and was lucky to pick up some coconut silk and banana silk sarees. They mix silk fibres with fibres from banana and coconut trees to make this incredible silk blend local to their region. (Ofc you get pure silk all over as well, we're lucky)

@5essentialism @theshirarose Eh, a classic Bengali comfort meal is steamed rice mixed with loads of spicy mashed potatoes (mixed with red chillies and mustard oil, onions optional) and loads of butter/ghee, salt and pepper. Maybe some pickles or fritters on the side if yer fancy. Or shoestring french fries!

@gay_angel_ @jamiefrickengib @NoodlesTori CBT can help regulate mood swings and emotional dysfunction caused by neurodivergency. It helps reroute negative self talk into more positive directions, etc. It doesn’t have to go on for a long time either; my therapist suggested a couple months max for a very specific issue.

Interviewed a famous illustrator for my #kidlit PhD research. He praised me, saying my academic work MUST be good b/c I share his caste (upper caste). To him, Caste Status=Automatic Merit. 🙄🙄😡This is why we need to #SmashBrahmanicalPatriarchy 💪🏾

@sarayupani I mean "boomers" is a v umreekan term related to post WW2 prosperity, so makes sense. In India post WW2 we were dealing with Partition, riots, Emergency, Naxalbari, etc. The Indian equivalent for the US boomer re. affluence/opportunity IS Gen X, so yer absolutely spot on✌🏾

Im talking 15+ hours etc. I have back pain issues. Not reclining is NOT an option for me. Not even on shorter flights. The pain gets bad. If you're taller, you should opt for aisle seats or pay for extra legroom.

Also aligned heavily towards British transliterations of the Sanskrit term, most likely following common British mispronunciations of the word. (Brits had trouble with soft "t"--"suttee" favours the hard "t"). Sati is more aligned w Indic pronunciations
