Said it repeatedly. There’s probably few coaches in MLS that were as kind and accommodating with the media as Gonzalo Pineda. Loved covering him. That said, his position with the club became untenable. Atlanta United needed to make a move. Now we wait to see who’s next.

My fear is that #ATLUTD fans will reject this move since it's a departure from what the club usually does, but Gonzalo Pineda certainly deserves a chance. They could have done much worse than hiring the top assistant from one of the model clubs in MLS, that's for sure.

Matheus Rossetto is only 23 and likely headed into his prime years. Simply fell out of Athletico-PR manager's plans from the sounds of it and not really of his doing. Change of scenery to #ATLUTD should do him well and I'm interested to see how he acclimates to MLS. Good signing.
