It’s a $150 ticket for throwing a burning substance out of a vehicle.
Merge lanes allow drivers to accelerate until they have matched the speed of vehicles already on the highway.
When you’re about to merge, look at highway traffic to pick a gap. Accelerate to match the speed of traffic, signal, shoulder check and proceed.

When you use turn signals, you are saying, “I intend to turn or change lanes.”
If you wait until you are actually turning or changing lanes before you signal, you are not telling other drivers what you intend to do.
They can already see that you are turning.
We are at Mosaic Stadium this morning for an exciting announcement. SGI and the Saskatchewan Roughriders are excited to announce that we are teaming up to remind Rider fans to find a safe ride to and from home games this season.
You're, uh, probably going to want to give yourself a little extra time to completely clean off your vehicle this morning. You don't want to cause any mini-blizzards for the folks driving behind you, right?

Alright folks, winter seems to have settled in. Don't panic, we all knew this was coming. Remember: gentle acceleration, gentle braking and small, smooth steering movements. There's no rush. Home isn't going anywhere.
#TakeCareOutThere
Police are using creative tactics to spot distracted drivers. Example: a plainclothes officer on the sidewalk, catching unsuspecting drivers on their phones. (Yes this is a real police officer actually doing that, today, somewhere in Saskatchewan.)
So, according to our calculations, that’s $1,120 in fines, another $400 or so for the towing and impound fees, plus 16 demerits.
Ouch.
Might we suggest not using your phone while driving?

Let's talk turning.
When making a turn, make sure it's into the first available driving lane (trucks & buses might need more room).
Making a turn from or to the wrong lane increases your chances of being involved in a collision and will result in a $230 fine.
Merge lanes allow drivers to accelerate to match the speed of vehicles on the highway. Slowly merging puts you at risk of a rear-end collision.
MERGE TIPS: Pick a gap, accelerate to the speed of traffic, signal, shoulder check & proceed into the lane.

Drivers in SK are required to slow to 60km/h when passing emergency vehicles on the roadside. Another way to keep roadside workers safe? Flip on your 4-way flashers. It serves as a signal to other drivers, as well as to roadside workers that you see them.

When traffic lights are out, treat intersections as 4-way stops. Bring your vehicle to a complete stop, and proceed when it’s safe. If 2 vehicles approach the intersection from different streets at the same time, the driver on the left must yield to the vehicle on the right.

Do you know what this sign means?
This is an "added lane" sign that signifies that two roads converge and you don't have to merge (meaning the lane you're driving on keeps going). You've got an entire lane dedicated for you to drive in. ^sm
