A lot of people I have spoken to over the past 6 months refer to this guilt of 'non clinical' (be it CPD/research/admin) but advice I hear is that activities such as research and I would argue CPD, benefits more than just that one person you would see in a session

I think it’s so so hard to prioritise CPD time, I am very fortunate that where I work ensure we have set non clinical time to carry out our CPD. Even so when we are very busy and have busy caseloads it can be so difficult and can make you feel guilty at times.

Nothing formal in terms a specific role - but alongside my NHS work, I’ve just completed (🥳🥂) an action research project with a group of schools looking at the impact of SCERTS training. It was funded by the Laurel Trust, so gave me an extra morning a week just for the project.
