Tender rejections started the week at 14.6% (Sunday figure) and have dropped to just above 13%. It was 18.25% to start the month. Linehaul Spot dropped at least 20 cents this month. This is not how quarter end works.

We're either in a backdraft, or goods side demand is falling in place of services. Spot LH down 14¢ MoM and Contract finally abated a penny. Volumes are down 1,200bps. Can't call the future, but I'm not seeing a robust EOQ. 7 Day imports are climbing, but we'll see in April.

Volumes are down now 9% since the start of March, van rejections are down 18%, reefer down ~14%, and van spot LH is now -16¢. We're in the final week of EOQ. If anything, a ledge will develop, but I expect no grand turn.

Demand will dive as oil skyrockets. I thought the summer would be truncated to domestic activity, but roadways will be like molasses at another $1/gallon. Wheat and corn are not just for our plate, they feed our food too. Restaurants will slow.
