Just been tidying out my works desk at home this morning came across my starting date as Head Grounds MCFC nearly 19 years ago next week, We installed the 1st fibresand pitch at Maine Road in 2001/2002 season, Look at the outcome did the club proud also grounds team.

Good to meet up with with my old boss Roy Hodgson who is Manager of Crystal Palace FC , who I have not seen for 23 years at the game at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday who I work for at my time at BRFC in the 1990 , I must say it made my day for sure which I will never forget.

Cfa training ground in a good place at the moment , Stitched pitches 1 to 4 first team, EDS /MCWFC / Academy pitches 5/7 fibresand, Hero carpet pitch 13 lot of playing hours this season, Pitch 8 fibresand under 18s looks like we sorted the shallow rooting out from last season RR.

Cfa, Small window to do some work on the Academy pitches which took place over the last two days small renovation happen like raking, seeding, top dressing with sand 4 tonnes to each pitch applied , then verti -draining took place , weather was good mild to carry out this work 👍

Cfa, Pitch 15 Desso 1st team area before the raking started, removing soft grass & any organic material which is in the grass plant then picked up with the small rotary mowers doing a great job & perfect conditions for this work to be carried out today before the winter sets in

Renovation works have started at our sister club at Lommel in Belgium 🇧🇪 on the stadium pitch Scarifier to start, koro next , Top dressing then over seeding / Per~ seed fertiliser applied last of all verti ~draining, All going to plan so for just need the seed to take & grow 🌱🌱

Add a good walk today round Sabden then over the tops better drop in at the Swan with 2 necks it was waiting for me great day for it , long walk home from here but what a day to be out best day for along time nice to have a few goodies along the way few beers 🍺🍺and bowl of 🍟

Cfa, Just been cleaning out the organic material out of the Astro carpets round the grass pitches over the last few days not be done because of COVID-19 in the last 18 months, Very impressed with the machinery from Charterhouse Turf Machinery G/ results happy with the outcome

CFA , Pitch 5,6,7 fibresand coming on well after seeding on the 6th May, Hero carpet come up very clean look like new & pitch 14 fibresand just been renovated by Premier Pitches , Mallinson doing last of there 4 pitches preparing pitch 2 ready for stitching SisGrass in July 🌱

Just dropped into he swan with two necks this afternoon after my walk round the country side , I am off all week on A/L , The other half is watching last night TV with her feet up well deserved, so I am making the best of weather it before the winter sets in. @SwanTwoNecks
