You probably don't know this, but it was Stepan Bandera himself who popularized "Slava Ukraine" (Glory to Ukraine.) The phrase was invented by "League of Ukrainian Fascists" in the 1920s and Bandera's OUN added "Heroiam Slava" in 1941 when the nazis invaded Russia.
