I never really saw this as a group where there had to be one absolute leader. I don't think there would be tension b/c Raph would like to share the burden.

@idksa10 He uses his lenses for enhanced vision, and to see mystic stuff. But his vision is perfectly normal without them. As far as whether he is on the spectrum, I certainly think he's on it somewhere.

In 2013, the TMNT show I wrote for generated $475 million in merchandise alone. That's more than most movies gross, but I was paid a third of what live-action writers make. Animation is big $ and studios need to #PayAnimationWriters now.

@sariphantom @TheCartoonBase We never got a chance to do an episode about that. The one time we see Splinter with baby turtles he just calls them by their colors. Obviously, Lou Jitsu must have traveled the world a bit while he was famous and developed a love for Renaissance art.

@middlesock @TheCartoonBase Raph is very protective of Mikey and Mikey is always teaching Raph to "let go." Mikey's mystic powers could get really intense, I bet we could have done some multiverse episodes with him. My favorite Lost episode is one where Dale gets turn into a werewolf.

The 2012 series had been a very traditional version of TMNT, so there wouldn't have been much point to doing another one like that. So we looked for ways to mix things up and making Raph leader opened up a whole lot of possibilities 1/

@leons_gotit @TheCartoonBase For both Leo and raph. Suddenly raft didn't have to be angry all the time about not being leader. And Leo was free to be cocky and fun-loving. For those of us who had written the other versions, it was a breath of fresh air.
