A memory I will take from

is Jude Bellingham going round the room of contenders, guests, staff and caterers to say thank you and wish them well before he left. A very classy young man.
Today marks the 75th Anniversary of the 1948 London Olympics, and with it the start of the BBC’s history of televising the Games - not surprisingly the longest relationship the event has with any broadcaster.
I've done six Commonwealth Games and that is my favourite moment. Australia, you can have your 80 golds, we'll enjoy this one.
@EnglandNetball
you guys are BAD. ASS.

Having kept BBC1 & BBC2 on the air simultaneously at times over the last few days, that's a wrap for the BBC PyeongChang studio, which now goes back to being Holiday Inn Apartment 12609. You have served us well.
Ben Stokes. Right now, I’m struggling to think of a better innings. He’s gone from ‘Definitely Sports Personality of the Year shortlist’ to ‘may as well give him the trophy now’.

A TV audience peak of 3.4m for the Men's Curling Final yesterday on BBC1 at 9.45am. Not sure we will have matched that at 3am last night for the Women's Final, but just goes to show the power of curling!

In more positive news, I have pretty much mastered the smile and nod that says 'I just want to make it clear that I did spot that you moved for me and I appreciate it. For info, I was planning to move myself but you were a step ahead of me'.

It's a record-extending 13th French Open title and record-equalling 20th Grand Slam! 🇪🇸🙌

Really proud to have produced this piece alongside
@stephen_gent
who had the geniussss idea!
Shout out to
@paddygearey
for the incredible words & to my new bestie Helen Mirren for voicing it for us 🥹🤍
One of my favourite photos. The co-founder of the London Marathon, a pioneer in medicine, and a broadcaster & politician. But for one afternoon, history makers. And it all seemed like jolly fun.

4.1m viewers tuned into
@BBCOne
to see

and

work their magic yesterday, highest of the games so far. And while we're on the subject, 400,000 were watching

take his bronze at 3 o'clock in the morning. Top sliding.

39 years ago today Willie Young ruins little Paul Allen’s FA Cup fairytale.
John Motson’s absolutely appalled by the shithousery unfolding before his very eyes...
Congrats to the

team on making the

shortlist for Best Sport Programme of 2019 - up against some pretty tough opposition. I guess we should thank Novak and Roger too - if one of them had cruised it in three sets we might not have made it...

I could talk about tentative plans to clear out the shed, resurrect the bike and clean the patio, but ultimately you and I both know the answer is 'whatever the wife tells me to do...'
Just looking at the BBC1 figures for
#SuperBowlLII
- 600,000 viewers still with the game at 3.15am. Remarkable. Big challenge for the Winter Olympics to match that - but we'll give it a go!
@NFLUK
Huge congrats to
@ITVSport
on tonight’s BAFTA win. Brilliant coverage throughout the tournament. I’m off to recreate the rest of the BAFTA night loser’s experience by drinking all the free alcohol in the house so I’ve got enough courage to ask the wife for a selfie.
Just to be clear, no hard feelings towards
@BAFTA
- London 2012, Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020 were all beaten by great programmes made by fine people. However, Paddington 2 missing out on Best Film in 2018 remains an absolute disgrace.
It's a Happy Anniversary to

's Mike West, 10 years of reading the Final Score footie results on a Saturday afternoon. Here he is taking over from the legendary Tim Gudgin back in TV Centre in 2011. A long way to go to catch Tim and Len Martin!
Strange feeling to be ‘attending’ the first broadcasters meeting for the next Summer Olympics when the current ones haven’t happened yet. Either way,

looks very impressive already

A lot of people making the usual ‘aloof, high maintenance diva’ accusations and saying tonight was dreadful viewing but I don’t care. Patrick Bamford’s had a great season.
All set for the

opening ceremony. It's in a little town called Hoenggye surrounded by hills and trees. If you want to picture it, imagine the place Rambo trashed in First Blood, stick a 30,000 seat stadium in there and you won't be far off. Anyway, BBC1 - 10.30am.
Sorry to hear of Tim Gudgin's passing. This was on his final day at the BBC in 2011 with fellow results reading supremo James Alexander Gordon. Both great professionals and top men. RIP.
Celebrating with

Honourable mentions to Matt Chilton and John Hunt (one for TV, one for radio) and Barry Davies (robbed, like Torvill & Dean, in Lillehammer 1994).
What an inspiration the
@Olympics
continue to be for the BBC Creative teams. It’s the fifth time in 12 years that the BAFTA for best titles has gone to an Olympic Games - Beijing 2008, Vancouver 2010, Sochi 2014, PyeongChange 2018 and Tokyo 2020.
I remember
@billymorgan89
looking chuffed when I gave him a BBC Sport pin in Sochi. He's rather upgraded the hardware he's taking back from PyeongChang. Top man. Magic performance.
Brilliant

. Remarkably, they could actually gather some folk from the team that went down 16 years ago. Aaron Lennon’s available, Scott Carson could do a job, dunno what happened to James Milner...
