Despite the CEO’s tweets about his testing to the contrary, it does appear that he commingled Synapse operating funds in with customer FBO funds. And, pursuant to their contracts, Synapse had NO rights to any funds in FBO accounts. This may be the pinnacle of bad management

🚨BREAKING: Green Dot, BaaS partner to Apple, Uber & Amazon, received a proposed consent order from the Fed, per the company's 8-K filing yesterday. The order hasn't been finalized, but Green Dot took a Q4 charge of $20m toward an eventual penalty, warned fine could reach $50m.

The Supreme Court's third and FINAL opinion of the day is in the CFPB. In a 7–2 opinion by Justice Thomas, the court UPHOLDS the CFPB's funding structure, concluding that it does NOT violate the appropriations clause. Alito and Gorsuch dissent.

@thehill The fundamental claim here is that Willis improperly hired her boyfriend, Wade, who took a pay cut for this special prosecutor job … so that he could launder $6-$8K in payments back to Willis? Even assuming the allegations are true, they’re absurd.

@blogbacktome @GergelyOrosz If Elon just made Twitter that much less desirable for employees, which he did, and thus that much more expensive to hire candidates, which he did, all to save 12 weeks of that guys salary, then I’d say that’s as smart as … paying 2X market value for Twitter

@mikulaja Share that existing regulations are up to the task, but only if regulators actually do their job. Here, if these are Evolve customers, then the regulators are asleep. If they’re NOT Evolve customers, then the Regulators let Evolve rent its charter out with inadequate disclosure
