Today we seen the 1sts v @robyobfc , a cliche but a game of 2 halves, Roby should have been out of sight by half time but we hung in & edged the game with a strong 2nd half performance. Great to see U16 player Sam get the 3rd goal today, a great all round performance.

Well done to the 2nds who've achieved promotion finishing 2nd in the @livoldboys Div 2. 2 pts off top spot, but a cup final to come softens the blow. Was a great contest with 4 decent sides separated by 8 pts but all 4 with a genuine chance to win it with 5 games to go.

What a start to preseason, 2 games, 35 players, 8 goals for, 12 goals against, thunder, lightening, bits of the pitch flooding. July apparently 🤷‍♂️ Great to be back & made up with the new young lads who all played well. Thank to @fc_acol & @CollegiateOldBo for the games.

The 1sts played @alumnifc this afternoon. Alumni took an early lead but River were a goal ahead by half time. Alumni had good chances 2nd half with the River keeper making some great important saves & they were rewarded with a later equaliser for a 2-2. Thanks for playing 👍

1sts with a dominant performance in the @Liverpool_CFA Junior Cup against @alumnifc 2nds. Special mention for Paul Gillespie, wow, what a goal! Cut inside 2 or 3 times, & bent an unstoppable finish that got stuck in the only stanchion on any of the goals at Jeffrey Humble!

2nds played a 9 goal thriller against @LiobiansFC 3rds. Slow start left us 3 down after 20 mins, got back to 3-2 but conceded right on half time, 4-2! Great effort 2nd half to win 5-4. Scrappy, messy but enjoyable game, thanks Liobians for the game.

2nds finished preseason v a good @huytonstanleyfc . Poor start & 4 nil down after 15/20 mins, but got our heads around the level of opposition & competed for the remainder finishing 5-1. A good loss, tough challenge v 2 divs above, highlights levels & what we need to improve on.

1sts showed good fight to come back from 2 down to win 3-2 at @EdgehillBCOB in the @LCPL2012 Lord Wavertree Cup group. 2nds continue their scoring form in a 5-2 win at @Larkin_FC . Level 1st half, Larkin equalising twice, but we managed to get ahead & keep the lead 2nd half.

Thanks to @merseyharpsfc & @GTAL8FC for playing today. 1sts were brilliant early on, 3 up, but GTA hit back for 3-3 at HT. A good finish on the break 2nd half gave GTA a win. MH got a late goal back v the 2nds but a good controlled performance meant they still edged the game.

A combined 2nds/3rds were beaten by a good young @ormskirk_we side tonight. Both sides played good football on a surprisingly (because of the hours of rain) good grass pitch but Ormskirk were far more clinical attacking & determined defensively in the critical moments.
