Oil prices are going up due to Saudi cuts in supply. Higher oil prices will result in high oil company profits. It is not due to corporate greed. When the market price of oil rises, the profits of those companies rise. Higher oil prices will result in higher inflation in general

Jimmy Carter is a decent, God fearing gentleman. I didn't agree with much of his presidency, but respect him immensely as human. He gives generously of himself toward many worthy causes, most notably Habitat for humanity and free fair elections in many countries around the globe.

25 years ago Florida public schools year ranked near the bottom. Jeb Bush received a lot of flack when he instituted a mandatory test called the FCAT and made schools accountable for results. Florida steadily improved and now ranks 3rd of 50 states .

@RBReich Oil companies do not set oil prices. That is market driven. They produce a product that is traded on a world market. When demand outstrip supply prices go up and profits go up. Directors have a fiduciary responsibility to act in shareholders best interest.

@RBReich Corporate greed exists when inflation is low and when it is high. The cause of inflation is too many dollars chasing too few goods. Increase supply of goods enough and inflation come down. Restrict the money supply enough and inflation comes down.

@RBReich It would take a 2/3s vote of congress to remove a duly elected officer of the US for the reason of participation in insurrection. First there would need to be a trial (due process) So in this case Trump would have to first be elected to office. It is not going to happen.
