It's my one-year anniversary working at Adopt Me today! Time sure flies, dunnit (but at the same time it feels like a long time ago...) Here's to another exciting year!
I recently released a plugin that allows you to import images (such as references or textures) locally, bypassing moderation! Really useful if your references are copyrighted or violate the rules (such as small text or website links)

I'm writing a rope plugin. Other than chains and ropes (and slight artistic variations thereof) what other types/textures of rope-like things should I include?

This hoverboard was supposed to be a movement mechanic for my splat attack game, but I had too much fun with it think I'm turning it into its own game now :D

More NPC fun :>
My goal is to get the game public as soon as possible, even with crappy placeholder assets.
On release, I want:
- A functioning game loop.
- Smart-enough bots to fill out missing player slots in case the server is empty.
- A very basic map.

Made a website alpha-bleeding/pixelfix-ifying images!
It processes multiple images very fast using multithreading and has a much friendlier UI than my first go at this years ago.
Oh hey I released a plugin which allows you to select parts based on their properties (e.g. color, material), tags, and mesh! This makes it easier to recolor/apply tags to a bunch of similar parts at once. Get it here:

Rewrote the rope-making part of my plugin so that it uses texture offsets instead of SpecialMeshes. It reduces part counts by a lot, and also adds more customization options.
Made the hoverboard work with your avatar. Lots of custom springy physics to get it to react realistically to acceleration and the environment. I really like how it turned out!

As promised, I wrote a plugin from scratch similar to Model Brush but with additional features and quality of life adjustments. You can see a full feature list in the plugin's description ()

After a lot of work, I got the slicing function done! It even lets me texture them (I needed 4 separate wedge meshes to achieve this + a lot of special cases)
Red is above relative to the slicer, Green is below.
Hey. I gave ThreeDText more love and added Five (5) (𝐕) (2+2) more fonts. The five fonts are shown in the video. Also updated its UI a bit and accommodated the recent changes to text boxes. Wee.

Made a public demo of my paint toy. You can enter freecam with Shift+P. Touch the pads near the spawn to change the colors you shoot.
I'm thinking of making a social sandboxy experience before moving onto combat.

Planning out a Roblox plugin imitates the transform tools of Blender. I've heard quite a few builders that have been asking for this and even want this for myself, so I thought I'd give it a shot.
Plugin development progress thread. Creating a plugin that imitates Blender's Circle and Box select.
Hey, if I make a thread about my development, then I'll be pressured to release this plugin eventually, right? - Man Who Never Finishes Plugin

Created two new secondaries: "Barrier" and "Kunai". The barrier may be used defensively (blocking projectiles) or offensively (snaring enemies). Kunais are thrown and latch onto anything they hit, exploding after a brief delay.

Hey. I wrote a plugin that converts an .OBJ to a bunch of wedges. Really useful if you use MeshParts for your terrain and you find that the collision meshes generated by studio aren't good enough.

Took a few days but I got painting working on my new project!
Using
@evaeraevaera
's and
@LPGhatguy
's Matter library for this project (with some corners being cut here and there for optimization).
I even added some subtle things like anti-aliasing between different colors.
You can test shirts/pants with the file importer plugin!
It sucks that Roblox is adding a fee to uploading clothing without giving us the tools we need to test clothing.
A good middle ground would have been to only impose a fee once the item is actually put up for sale.
Colored in the character I was working on + added the beam joints. Also played around with SurfaceAppearance. The colors + the whiskers reminded me of Mudkip. I feel like I'm 80% there, I just need to keep iterating on it more before I'm satisfied with it.

Improved textures and controls. You can now hard drop pieces! Also some bug fixes with the slicing code.
(Was planning on working on some very basic UI today but it got boring.)

Logo for that rope plugin. It took me a while to learn 2.8's interface but here it is. I didn't even get to use Eevee since it doesn't have the holdout node.
PS I'll try releasing part of the Rope Plugin soon-ish, and I'll update it with more functionality over time. Stay tuned.
More progress. Now it actually casts in a circle. Some clever optimization is done so that you don't raycast the same spot twice (assuming that the camera isn't moved).

Tomorrow (hopefully) I'll release a WIP version of the plugin that only has rope-making part (so nothing too fancy, such as the christmas garlands, sorry!). The plan is to add those features over time.
WIP 3D modelling the character I was designing. I pretty much ignored the design I drew half-way, haha... I hadn't modeled anything in a long time and I don't think I've modeled something as complex before. Bonus pic: previous iterations.
Tested my game with Future Is Bright for the first time. Didn't know that the glass material was broken, so my characters painted with vantablack instead.

I rendered something for an OpenSpades mod that I've been sitting on unreleased for the past 4 years (only about 10 people will probably end up downloading it but w/e).
I thought it looked neat so here you go. I'm happy with how I got the edges to look shiny!
