✧ penelope featherington is a successful writer. what happens when agatha danbury decides to adapt her work into a tv series and cast colin as the male lead..?
#bridgerton
that’s what you get for trying to combine two different series into one show with 8 eps/season. they should’ve had 2 separate shows and then do crossover eps in due time instead of mashing everything. the show didn’t feel like alina’s bc the crows were (naturally) overshadowing
Anthony when he finds out Penelope is Lady Whistledown but then realizes she’s rich as hell and Colin will no longer have to terrorize the bridgerton coffers
think i've got a thing for soft female characters who suffer more than jesus but remain kind in the face of everything. like putting you in my pocket as another daughter!
alina became a side character in her own damn show and i get that the crows are more fun but the show is called s&b not soc. ALSO combing book 2&3 was a terrible fucking idea and took so much of alina’s arc/character away. how can people connect to the characters when she-
no because camila is really there for everyone. she welcomed daisy into the family & pushed billy to work with her. she encouraged graham to confess to karen & talked with karen about graham. and the only one that gives her all the energy back is eddie 😭🫶🏻
you can love a character and still admit when they’re wrong. i love camila dunne but can acknowledge her flaws (she has none) & can hold her accountable for her wrongdoings (she’s never done anything wrong in her life) & call her out for her actions (which are always correct)
doesn’t have enough scenes 😭😭 like there was sm more to her and taking away the white cathedral plot was just the last drop. that entire plot was so vital for alina’s character development and they just disregarded all of it.
“the billy hate is so forced” no not really he cheated on his pregnant wife who literally left her life behind to support his dreams AND missed his fucking child’s birth.
calling THE emily henry’s writing boring immature and cliche is actually insane. that woman’s pengame is so strong became of the maturity and reality of her dialogues and depictions. the way she describes emotions is just so real that it’s so captivating
it’s light as day why we’re complaining. in the book billy actually loved her, in the show camila went through hell and got killed off 20 years earlier as a plot device.
“What are you smiling for?”
“You need me.”
“Alive. I need you alive. Don’t get any ideas in your pretty head.”
“You think i’m pretty? And here I thought I wasn’t your type.”
“Oh, shut up.”
let me explain further: i’m simply explaining the difference between one sided etl / hate to love / rivals to lovers / annoyance and etl. if only one of the parties dislike/hate the other one it’s not quite etl. on that note i adore one sided etl it’s pretty fun to read !
I HATE when people pretend like Cami was such a saint… like… no she was wasn’t? She was so manipulative and she literally cheated on her husband and some of y’all still like to see her as the holy Virgin Mary or sth that has never done anything bad in her life… like get a grip
karen and eddie stayed for camila, daisy joined for camila bc she convinced her to work with billy (and vice versa) she is the HEART of the band. she was the six’s first manager and she took the aurora cover picture. i need y’all to be serious !
i just like to add that book kathony literally adores penelope. so, while saying “i can’t wait to tell kate” anthony doesn’t only mean he can’t wait to gossip with his wife but he also knows kate would be so happy & proud of pen <3
ignore the spelling mistakes i can’t type when i’m angry 😭 both the characters and leigh deserved better but i know for a fact that s3 would’ve been a mess with all the mixing up they’ve done
