As an #RF designer, this rf amplifier seemed attractive to me, I bought it from #eBay and I think its design is beautiful. Anyway, I tested it and it gave almost 1 watt power in its output almost everywhere in the band.

For a long time, when I used @airspy_com products in the field, because the antenna and USB cable were always cumbersome, I decided to put HF+ and R2 in a special case and install them on the back of the tablet. I think the result was satisfactory.

PHA-202+ from @MiniCircuits test board. About +30dBm of P1dB. It seems to be a good component for pre-amplification, although if the second, third and fifth order harmonics were lower, it would add to its appeal.

Tore apart an old N-CDMA amplifier. These thing are always built WAY overbuilt. manufacture rated this guy for 25 watts of output power yet the ldmos fets are rated for up to 135 watts cw at 880mhz

@MakisSV1AFN I suggest that you use a helical structure (like temwell’s helical filters) to reduce the insertion loss, this amount of loss in the band will destroy the noise figure in the next stage.

@tomhajjar 1- Yes, it is true, it was interesting for me too. As it is known, the manufacturer claims that from 20 MHz to 1 GHz. I also tested it, with almost 0 dBm input, it gives about 30 dBm output power in the whole band.

@ibelings @Amin_Mansouri_ I used two different RF switches , HMC-545E for input side and HMC-544AE for output is also worth noting that this amplifier is set to provide a maximum power of 4.5 watts at the output.

I found this OCXO( ISOTEMP ) at a traditional electronics store a few days ago, it was interesting that the seller did not know exactly what it is? however I was able to buy some at a very low price. After reading datasheet , I realized the accuracy of this OCXO is 20 ppb. Yes 😉

@azonenberg In my opinion, if manufacturing precision is important, always buy standard lab cable from famous manufacturers such as @MiniCircuits or @hubersuhner . I even suggest if you can replace the 3.5mm standard with the SMA.
