I’m on
@buymeacoffee
because U.K journalism pays peanuts and it a totally unsustainable career choice.
If you like my work and want me to be able to keep going, you can buy me a coffee and share your thoughts 🎉☕
I’m writing a cannabis series about the *real* people who use cannabis, to help break stigmas and stereotypes. I’d love to speak to anyone who uses cannabis (for any reason) but completely goes against the lazy, irresponsible, hippy, stoner image. Is this you? Get in touch! 🌿
All planning on publicly celebrating

tomorrow, maybe at Hyde Park, PLEASE do so with consideration for the bigger picture. We’re fighting for an optics shift, a removal of stigma, policy change & reform. Access for patients.
You are representing cannabis - don’t be a dick.
@JacquiDeevoy1
Me too. No replies to my pitch about the new cannabis and functional mushroom formulation that has been shown to kill nearly 100% of HER2+ cancer cells. Apart from the one paper that commissioned it and promptly spiked it a day before it went to press.
THIS needs to STOP.
THC IS A VITAL PART OF HOW CANNABIS WORKS AS A MEDICINE.
I’m SICK of the safety, psychosis, not enough evidence BULLSHIT. This misinformation is killing people. Killing CHILDREN.
I’m going to do something about this.
@veras1
I’ve thought long & hard about whether or not to post myself using cannabis today. Is it professional? Is it risky? Will I be taken less seriously?
I’ve decided, today is a day to shout to the world “I am exercising my HUMAN RIGHT to use cannabis”
The laws are flawed, not us.
Just interviewed a lovely woman with a music degree who developed fibromyalgia after a horse riding accident has been able to come off 340 pills a week including 1800mg (!!) gabapentin thanks to....cannabis. Just a few puffs each night before bed.
Why is the fight for cannabis so important?
#1
because people (children) are suffering & dying without free access to cannabis oil
#2
there’s a black hole in our healthcare system while our doctors are not being trained in the endocannabinoid system

This is groundbreaking.
I’ve never seen anything like this in a national paper.
Everyone who contributed - you are heroes!
In The Sunday Mirror, today!
We’re smashing down walls!
Thank you to all the brave patients who reached out to me to talk about their experience growing cannabis. You are making an incredible sacrifice and you are a vital part of monumental change.
Let’s make this go viral.
When you just take a second to consider that alcohol is legal, but cannabis isn't...
Regardless of how you feel about cannabis, we know alcohol can be used responsibly or be extremely addictive & kill people.
Why is that fine, but cannabis isn't?
This. Does. Not. Make. Sense.
There’s this big taboo about parents who use cannabis, even though a gasping need for alcohol after a long day is totally ok.
But, seriously, I think most parents should be prescribed it.
Do you have kids and use cannabis?
How does this affect you/them?
So, the four cases of this new variant arrived in Botswana via fully vaccinated travellers? And governments are suggesting further restrictions for unvaccinated people? What is going on here?
“I’ve successfully used cannabis to replace/significantly reduce medication with seriously harmful side effects”
🙋♀️ if this is you!
Share your story here and RT to help break the stigma 💚
Anyone who thinks cannabis should be illegal, stigmatised or considered dangerous is simply uneducated. Yes, that includes drs, journalists, MPs etc
The HUGE amount of evidence demonstrating how vital it is that we bring this plant back into our lives it there for all to see.
It took pitching 35 times to get this story commissioned! I actually cried when it finally got picked up. I’M SO HAPPY AND PROUD!!! Thank you so much to all the incredible cannabis patients, doctors and scientists helping to change the world
How can HALF the U.K. adult population still be against cannabis legalisation?!
We focus on how great it is that half are for, but seriously. Drop the stigma. Get informed. It’s up to YOU to save those who are DYING without cannabis. They need your support.
It is time!
I feel so sad for all the people who don’t have cannabis in their medicine kit.
Nothing is more effective for reducing nausea.
Nothing helps you feel less crap with flu.
Nothing else stops anxiety in it’s tracks so fast.
It’s truly a amazing plant. I wish everyone knew that

I know it’s probably not very proper for me to publicly support illegal activity…but this guy is a fucking hero. YES MATE!
'Are you for real?' - defendant tells court he will not pay cannabis fine
“There are endless scare stories about THC, but the scariest thing by far is how easily we’ve been duped as a society into believing this actually pretty miraculous compound is dangerous”

: In Defence of THC -
Just dropping in to say, I spent the last week having my life changed at the Beckley psilocybin retreat.
What an incredible, mind blowing, beautiful experience. So deeply grateful.
If someone uses cannabis as their medicine DO NOT call them a drug addict. Even as a joke. It’s not funny. It’s perpetuating vile stigma.
(This happened today. I am unimpressed)
I appreciate some want a 0% THC oil, that’s fine. But I hate when brands make a big deal of their product being THC free. Stop. There’s nothing wrong with THC. It has massive medicinal benefit. Don’t enter the industry if you don’t get how damaging it is to perpetuate the stigma.
Well this is absolutely fantastic! Whole plant cannabis being trialled for chronic pain in 5000 patients, potentially paving the way for access on the NHS 💚 for over a million people!!
'While the rest of the world storms ahead on total reform of archaic cannabis regulation, the U.K. trails behind like a whiny toddler in a saggy nappy.'
My opening line for an article about the landscape of cannabis in the U.K. 😂
Our country is an embarrassment.
Literally LOSING MY SHIT over how evasive police are being in response to my questions about why they are FAILING to educate their force on the legitimacy & intricacies of medical cannabis in the U.K.
Unfortunately for them, I'm now rewriting my whole article to highlight this.
@pritipatel
Keeping cannabis illegal and inaccessible to those who need it as essential medicine ruins communities, tears apart families and destroys lives - Fixed it for you.

Don't care about psychedelics?
Think again.
Psychedelic medicine is the ONLY medicine to work for many mental health conditions. Not to symptom suppress, but HEAL.
Over the past 50 years, no new molecule or medication has come close to what psychedelic medicine can do.
I love helping in the fight for cannabis access, but it does take it out of me sometimes. I almost always end up crying when writing an article. How anyone could be against cannabis or choose to deliberately harm these children & vulnerable people for financial gain is beyond me.
So I’m on a mission to find U.K. celebs who are (or could potentially be, with a little guidance) cannabis advocates. That could be for wider access to medical cannabis, full legalisation or general drug reform.
Any ideas of who might fit the bill welcome!
I’ve just written (again) about the history of cannabis prohibition. Why is cannabis really illegal? I knew most of the facts already but, seriously, WTF?!
Anyone who supports cannabis prohibition is supporting racism.
It’s sad that most negativity I get on my work is from within the cannabis community. For not phrasing something just so. Not including every point in every article.
I do my best.
I wrote my independent piece in 45mins with a sick child on my lap. Enough with the in-fighting.
You know what would be lovely right now? If I could pick up some lovely quality cannabis from a dispensary, chosen specifically to soothe my horrible covid symptoms.
Can we PLEASE just hurry up and get to this point?!
Cannabis is medicine.
How can we help this man?
Gary Youds has been given 3 years in prison for giving cancer patients a safe medicine that was helping them, for free.
He is a hero and philanthropist, not a criminal.
Gary Youds is a florist, not a dealer, & grows his plants with the intention of helping as many people as he can with his knowledge.

reports Gary was delivering

#cancer
patient when he was stopped by police

So much respect to 'S' for starting this up and showing up the 'archaic cannabis laws' in the UK. Ballsy.
An illegal weed start-up in the UK is making millions – and it wants to pay tax
It's medical cannabis awareness week!
DID YOU KNOW...?
Despite being made legal on prescription 5 yrs ago in the UK, you can *still* only really access cannabis via private health clinics.
Why is cannabis only considered a safe & effective medicine for those who can afford it?
I write a lot for CBD brands. I stick to official guidelines to keep everything above board, but I HATE doing it. I'm not allowed to write anything about the very well studied therapeutic benefits. We're not allowed to tell the truth about cannabis. It's an absolute fucking joke.
I’ve only been writing (&learning) about cannabis for 2yrs. I’m not an ‘expert’ like many of the people I speak to are. I’m still learning every day. But I’ve dedicated my career to educating myself&others about this plant by spreading what I know as best I can! I hope I help 💚
"Twice as many British adults now support the legalisation of cannabis than oppose it, according to a poll which reveals a “widening gulf” between public opinion and drug laws."
My first ever psychedelics piece for a national paper has been spiked 😭 the legal team wanted to remove too much.
It was covering two beautiful stories of mums who use psilocybin for PTSD and depression.
I WILL find it a new home.
If any editors are interested…DMs open!
You know what would be really great right now? Some high quality, organic cannabis. Because I’m ill. And it’s an amazing medicine. If you’ve never tried using cannabis while you’re sick, you should. Then you’ll understand why everyone should keep it at home just like paracetamol.
Happy Sunday everyone! Except the people working at a school who refused to give a little girl with Dravet Syndrome her prescribed cannabis meds because 'it's illegal', forcing her mum to make an extra hour trip every day, before they called social services. You can suck it.
Don’t forget to take your medicine! Because CBD is medicine and should be treated as such - not that any CBD brands are allowed to say that. But I am 🙂
Try taking your oil 3 x a day for a steady level of cannabinoids and endocannabinoids that will accumulate over time.
Our fight for cannabis has nothing to do with getting high.
We fight for cannabis because
💚 It saves lives
💚 It eases the suffering of millions
💚 It can save our planet
Our gov profits over prohibition while children risk death every day
If you’re on the fence, get off it
The only option for parents like Sarah is to travel abroad to gain access to a prescribed medical cannabis oil. This is so wrong, we are going backwards in the U.K. and not progressing.
I was hugely anti cannabis as a teen. I educated myself. There have also been other monumental shifts in my personality, largely down to therapy, spiritual experiences and a complete lifestyle change (including dropping harmful drinking habits). I get this a lot...anyone else?
I realised last night that I have no clue how much cocaine you have to take to OD. Neither did my friend, who has taken a lot. No wonder so many people die from overdosing illegal drugs. There’s no education at school, no harm reduction. It’s really pretty terrible.
Thanks so much to
@LauraEWebsterr
for commissioning and to
@antlehane
and
@ronniecowan
for their input.
Scotland focused but this applies to the whole of the U.K. really….
How legal medical cannabis patients are being forced onto illicit drugs market
PLACE YOUR BETS
I reckon we’re going to see some kind of positive legislation change around cannabis in the U.K. in the next few months.
Just got a feeling…
Money? Passport? Pants? My essential packing checklist (thanks mum)
It’s today you guys! On my way to the House of Lords to report on the fiasco that is the failure of NHS medical cannabis access 💥
The CBD molecule alone has 65 identified molecular targets.
65!!
And that's only one of over 140 cannabinoids in the cannabis plant, not to mention the terpenes and flavonoids.
THIS is why we 'don't have enough evidence' for medical cannabis.

I am horrified by this article. So ill-informed. So harmful to cannabis patients (legal and illegal).
Patients, doctors, experts - please leave your comments below & I will tag the writer so he can read your thoughts.
The fact that this has been published makes me feel sick. Extensive study shows when all variables are taken into account there’s no link. Vulnerable people w genetic predisposition to schizophrenia may use cannabis & this uncovers underlying illness.
I’ve been told by followers that they’ve discovered I’ve been automatically removed from their follow list. Is this the legendary shadowbanning in action?
I’ve gone from regularly getting 100s of likes and retweets to more like 5-10.
Testing, testing. Are you receiving me?
This is the drug people most commonly tell me in interviews that they have switched for cannabis.
1 in 10 drug deaths linked to pregabalin.
Deaths linked to cannabis....hmmmmm...zero.
It's absolutely insane this poor man is imprisoned in any way.
Irish cannabis ‘caregiver’ serving ‘disproportionate’ five-year sentence moved to open prison -
In case you’re wondering:
Yes, I have been pitching stories to U.K. national papers based on Biden’s cannabis announcement.
No, I’ve not received a single response…
Here it is. My official demand for Police Scotland to train their police on medical cannabis.
‘Police treated me like I was a criminal’: Legal cannabis user left suicidal
According to NHS England:
- Cannabis-based medicines may not be smoked as smoking weed makes it a Schedule 1 drug
Sorry, what? We can all see how nuts this is, right?
Supplying mushrooms can get you life in prison.
LIFE!!!
The same sentence you might get for the most serious case of murder.
Most of the people I've met who supply mushrooms are literally the nicest human beings you could imagine and are doing so to help others.
I feel really sad that I can’t just pop to a dispensary to pick up some amazing cannabis to help me deal with this horrendous cold.
I feel almost sadder (not quite) that so many people don’t realise how much cannabis can help when you feel like crap! You’d love it, trust.
HUGE NEWS!!
For the 1st time a medical cannabis article has reached the TOP 5 in The Express health section.
This is how we change media narrative. Keep clicking&sharing!
Thoughts from me &
@Simon_Erridge
Thanks
@ChristopherPBS
for being awesome!
Is cannabis safe?
We’re constantly being fed the line ‘more research needed to determine safety’.
I’ve written my thoughts about it here.

CBD oil can be great, but one thing I find it does NOT help with? Menstrual cramps.
Excellent for mood side of PMS, but not pain.
THC + hot water bottle, however, works brilliantly.
For those at the back: CBD does not cure all. THC is an incredibly therapeutic cannabinoid!
Anyone posting judgey comments about Harry sharing his experiences and his use of cannabis and psychedelics to treat his trauma is an absolute dick and that's really all I have to say on the matter.
