Muscles can make men go from unattractive to incredibly attractive, especially with the newfound confidence. Its life changing. And yet average man is overfat without muscle mass.
Do I need to post nudes to get engagement. I have more followers than ever and feel like no one sees my tweets. I'm kidding, of course, but if you see this, please let me know.
For the love of God, stop cooking your food in vegetable oil. Canola (rapeseed) & soy is toxic waste. Canola has trans-fat before you even begin cooking, as well as Eruric Acid, which can damage the myelin sheath around nerves, and interferes with use of Vitamin E by your cells.
I don't consume much sugar, but I do get periodic cravings. Since starting very high potency probiotic, I have noticed that not only do I not have those cravings, but I am turned off of refined sugar. Gut bacteria control cravings - reduce bad bacteria, cravings naturally change.
Magnesium – The Under-appreciated Mineral
Why I recommend supplementing with magnesium (Thread):
Magnesium is an essential mineral that is implicated in over 300 biological processes. It is the 4th most common mineral in our entire body.
One of my clients from today increased her sleep from 4 to 8 hours with glycine before bed. This is not brand new info on health twitter. Friendly reminder.
The bad bacteria in your GI tract are craving sugar. If you're frequently craving sugar, they are proliferating and you are feeding them. Starve the bastards. Show them who's boss.
It's really wild that most people cannot stop eating for one day. Just one. It's a great reset for blood sugar and discipline. The next day a boiled egg will be a delicacy. Most people won't do it.
What is the most nutrient dense food?
What most people would answer: vegetables
Actual answer: meat and seafood
This is important. Most people are overfed and malnourished. Our food is much less nutritious than it used to be. Refined carbs+sugar use up nutrients.
I don't know why people are still trying to immigrate to Canada. Businesses are closing down. Many restaurants that were still holding on cannot go through (I think this is 4th? lost track) lockdown. Even those that have fought the fines in court, they cannot keep losing biz.
2 things.
1. Men don't get enough compliments.
2. When men give compliments to women, its often followed by "Don't take this the wrong way." This is what toxic femininity has done/ calling everything harassment.
Tasteful compliments should be given and appreciated both ways.
I still have to explain to people that saturated fat doesn't cause heart disease. The studies that say they do are poor quality/mis-interpreting the evidence.
Here are some quality studies that show no association, or worse outcomes with less saturated fat:
It's very simple. I do not keep foods in the house that I find addictive. I have dark chocolate. I don't have: chips, cookies, cakes, ice cream, pastries. These are purchased on occasion/consumed as 1 svg. People want to lose weight, yet buy foods they can't control intake of.
With all of the asymptomatic and mild symptom testing that people are doing, they would be a lot better off testing their metabolic health and being proactive about that. I can also think of some other things that people would be better off testing.
Low carb twitter won't like this, but I just had another client restore her menses with addition of carbohydrates (she was keto, and is now low carb). I have seen many women do better with adding carbs back in for hormonal regulation. (Yes, some women do better w/ reverse).
My nutrition tweets get no views. Literally just a few hundred. I will be posting a random photo of myself that I would otherwise not post with my nutrition tweets until the algorithm improves, completely unrelated to the tweet if it increases views. I don't post much anymore,
I have met young (seemingly healthy) people who 6-24 months later, are still experiencing lung issues post Covid. I wonder why this is the case. I took NAC when I had Covid and I found it helped right away - no lasting symptoms. If you have ongoing symptoms, I recommend NAC.
Exercise increases insulin sensitivity and allows sugar to get into cells more easily, as does increased muscle mass. Higher muscle mass is protective against chronic disease as well as during bouts of acute illness. Exercise is medicine.
I strongly believe that for optimal health, one should maintain their appearance not only for others, but first and foremost for themselves. Even when you're alone, year round. Home clothing should be cozy yet aesthetic - impacts how you feel/message to your subconscious.
I find it wild people's concern over eggs, asking me how many they can eat, but no one ever asks me about sugar, and if they're eating too much of that.
Given the rising cost of meat, I have been ordering my meat directly from the farm, which is better quality anyway, but now I just try to do it for 100% of my meat. I love that if I call my farmer he always answers the phone.
I don't care about the debate regarding whether sugar is addictive or not. If millions of people find it habit forming and have difficulty controlling their intake, then it is addictive.
Reminder: "Drinking hot beverages from paper cups poses health risks... microplastic layer on the cup degrades and releases 25,000 micron-sized particles... act as carriers for contaminants like ions, toxic heavy metals..."
Nutrition dogma = backwards:
- Protein bad for kidneys, here have come carbs
- Avoid salt, no problemo with sugar
- Eating less often slows metabolism, eat every 2 - 3 hrs
- Not too many eggs, have this garbage cereal
- Meat bad, fake meat 👍
- Plain full fat bad, sweet yogurt 👍
I hate to break it to you guys, but drinking many cups of coffee to be able to delay your first meal is not good for your magnesium status and bone health. Coffee can be a great tool for your diet, but shouldn't be overused.
Important info I learned over the years: When people have inflammatory diseases and no longer able to tolerate other foods, i.e. gluten, dairy, veg, the ONE food that they can always tolerate is meat, which is what allows them to heal/survive/< inflammation.
My mom had a severe tooth issue that was constantly bleeding after a dental procedure. The bleeding occurred for years, and there was nothing more the dentist could do. My dad suggested she brush with salt over the area. It has been three years, and her bleeding has never
I recently left a job where I had worked for over 5 years.
No card, no good bye from anyone, no parting gift.
Nothing.
I except very little from people these days, barely anything, but they got me this time. I'm actually surprised. People really don't give a shit at all.
What other clinicians think is unhealthy about my diet:
- skipping breakfast
- not snacking
- full fat dairy
- bacon
- daily eggs
What is actually unhealthy about their diet:
- cereal for breakfast
- refined carbs
- frequent snacking/lots of fruit
- low protein, low healthy fats
Becoming a Registered Dietitian should include experimentation with a continuous glucose monitor, while consuming all different types of food, and a written report as part of the analysis.
Done right, men can really look a lot better in their 40's than their 30's. It's an interesting phenomenon, but some men are really blessed with this. Increased muscle mass, improved confidence, greater success/financial confidence, better vibes/frequency, can create a whole
At this point I am convinced that veganism/plant-based is truly what kills the environment. I have read enough. The environmental damage of monoculture crops, harvesting low nutrition grains to make cheap oils and plant-based foods is devastating to environment and wildlife.
What patient hears:
- have breakfast
- have cereal/oatmeal
- have snacks
- limit sodium
- carbs every meal
What I say:
- prolong nighttime fast and skip breakfast if you can
- start your day with eggs. no cereal. ever.
- don't worry about sodium
- mostly protein/veg, least carbs
Many wrongfully believe you can out-exercise a bad diet/ eat whatever you want as long as you exercise. While you may burn off the caloric energy you ate, you cannot reverse the inflammatory damage that accumulates with excessive sugar, seed oils, and other garbage ingredients.
@DoctorMayJay
One of my family members had to have a procedure to remove a growth right at the vaginal area without anaesthesia and they were so traumatized they couldn’t have sex with their husband for years. Completely barbaric and unnecessary. It was extremely painful
A flawed concept when reporting the nutritional content of food is not incorporating bioavailability. Just because a food has x amount doesn't mean you will absorb x; in many cases you won't due to anti-nutrients. It's misleading to claim spinach is nutritious for ex., etc.
I have high standards for restaurants because it needs to taste better than what I can make at home (or at least be something I don't mind) and this is not easy to top.
From everything I have seen on Twitter, I have gathered this is what men want: (don't take too seriously)
Enjoy cooking
No Only Fans
Wants kids
Actually look like photos in real life
Not on birth control
Pureblood
Low body count
One of the main reasons that vegetable (mostly seed oils) are detrimental, is due to the excessive amount of linoleic (omega-6) fatty acids that are not in line with our biology leading to systemic inflammation at the cellular level. This is not the only reason. As I have spoken
Some coffee shops don't even have whole milk and this is a disgrace. Also, anytime I ask for whole milk, they say "oat milk?" This is how far removed we are from whole milk WHICH IS JUST REGULAR MILK. Passionate emphasis, not yelling.
Sardines are considered an organ meat because you are eating the entire fish - bone and organs. Great source of calcium as well. Inexpensive. I suggest to patients - almost always they say no. Shame. Deficiencies in healthy essential fats are at an all time high.
Superfood of the Week: Sardines. Don't say ew, learn to like: This superfood packs a seriously healthy punch. ... Sardines jam-packed with omega-3's, which not only promote brain & heart health, but also fight belly flab and even may raise enzymes levels that promote fat burning
Coffee and Blood Sugar Post
I have seen some posts recently on how coffee can increase blood sugar (without containing sugar of course). The research on this is not as clear as I would have thought/hoped. It would be a great CGM/glucose monitor experiment. Info on research
I've said it before and I'll say it again. Significant reduction in exposure to pathogens weakens immune system, ⬆️ chances of severe contagion in the future. It can also cause your immune system to shut down if you're overly hygienic, i.e. excessive sanitization/sterilization.
Things that should be taught in school:
- meditation
- mind-body practices
- etiquette (social, formal, dining, etc.)
- time management
- sleep hygiene (i.e. proper form to prevent neck issues)
- critical thinking
- proper attire
- cooking
- stress management
What else?
When you eat a wholesome diet, with minimal to no garbage, you instantly feel when you ate something your body didn't like. When people eat crap all the time, they feel like crap all the time, so they don't feel the difference.
I've seen SO many male transformations from fat to fit, and it's wild to see men go from unattractive to wowza. So many have potential to look 10x better. Sad part - they don't even know it. Changing appearance is not vanity, it is health, self-esteem, vitality, life changing.
Took my friend out for bday dinner bc no one should spend it alone, even if they say they're fine with that. It’s important for mental health to go out and do what you enjoy - I really felt that lacking this year. I need to get dressed up and go out to feel like a human being.
Does anyone else find it frustrating when reading online that x foods are a good source of some nutrients and organ meats are almost never listed when they are most nutrient dense?
It's really baffling to me that humans will spend so much time learning about random useless crap/celebrities/God knows what else, but not spend time learning about their physiology, natural healing abilities and other powers.
I follow lots of people with whom I disagree. As long as someone is coming from a good place and wanting to help others, I will not unfollow someone for having differing opinions, and I think disliking someone for differing opinions is something people really need to work on.
There are a lot of young people at my gym. Teens and early 20's. Listening to how they speak is honestly frightening and makes me fear for the future generation.
Your body stores fat.
Your body stores carbs.
Your body doesn't store protein. You don't want to lose it from your muscle. This is why you need to meet your protein requirements daily - will affect hunger.
I will be doing a thread on importance of protein in near future.
There should be breastmilk clinics everywhere. Would be an amazing service. Women could get paid for their milk, and other mothers and infants would benefit. The original baby formula.
If low-carb/keto is prescriptive for Alzheimer's disease - what does that say about the safety of low-carb? Low-carb is prescriptive for: obesity, diabetes, mental health, endocrine disorders such as PCOS, some cancer as an adjunct, physical healing, etc. The ignorance must stop.
